Abstract: A user equipment (UE) can include processing circuitry coupled to memory. To configure the UE for New Radio (NR) communications above a 52.6 GHz carrier frequency, the processing circuitry is to decode radio resource control (RRC) signaling to obtain a cyclic shift value in time domain. The cyclic shift value is associated with a demodulation reference signal (DM-RS) antenna port (AP) of a plurality of available DM-RS APs. A single carrier based waveform DM-RS sequence corresponding to the DM-RS AP is generated using a base sequence and the cyclic shift value. The single carrier based waveform DM-RS sequence is encoded with uplink data for transmission to a base station using a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) using a carrier above the 52.6 GHz carrier frequency.

The UE may detect one or more LTE synchronization signals from an eNB over an LTE Uu interface between the UE and the eNB. Abstract: User equipment (UE) positioning within a 5G New Radio (NR) network may be determined by receiving a downlink (DL) position reference signal (PRS) resource set indicating a plurality of DL PRS resources and receiving a DL PRS report configuration that indicates a set of measurements to be performed by a UE for each of the plurality of DL PRS resources within the DL PRS resource set. Position measurements may be performed for each of the plurality of DL PRS resources within the DL PRS resource set, including generating a reference signal time difference (RSTD) measurement by estimating a timing of a first arrival path from at least two of the plurality of DL PRS resources and determining a reference signal received power (RSRP) metric or a signal to noise and interference ratio (SINR) metric associated with the at least two DL PRS resources. The performed position measurements may be reported.

Abstract: In one embodiment, an apparatus includes memory storing instructions and processing circuitry coupled to the memory. The processing circuitry is to implement the instructions to select a resource block group (RBG) size configuration from a set of RBG size configurations based on a bandwidth part (BWP) size. Each RBG size configuration is to indicate RBG sizes associated with respective ranges of BWP sizes, and the RBG sizes are to indicate a number of frequency-domain physical resource blocks (PRBs) for physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) or physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmissions. The processing circuitry is further to implement the instructions to allocate PRBs for communication between the gNB device and a user equipment (UE) device via the PDSCH or PUSCH transmissions based on the selected RBG size, and to encode downlink control information (DCI) that indicates the allocated PRBs for transmission to the UE device.
