Abstract: HARQ feedback configuration techniques for broadband wireless communication networks are described. In one embodiment, for example, an apparatus may comprise a memory and logic for user equipment (UE), at least a portion of the logic implemented in circuitry coupled to the memory, the logic to identify a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) bundling window associated with a received downlink (DL) scheduling command, identify one or more HARQ feedback configuration parameters based on HARQ feedback configuration information comprised in the DL scheduling command, the one or more identified HARQ feedback configuration parameters to include a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) format for use in transmission of HARQ feedback for the HARQ feedback bundling window, the logic to generate the HARQ feedback for transmission to an evolved node B (eNB) according to the PUCCH format. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Abstract: An apparatus is configured to be employed within a base station. The apparatus comprises baseband circuitry which includes a radio frequency (RF) interface and one or more processors. The one or more processors are configured to generate control information, the control information including a configured number of ports; receive a plurality of sounding reference signals (SRS) via the RF interface from a user equipment (UE) device, wherein each of the plurality of SRS is associated with one of the one or more precoders; and generate a ranking of a the one or more precoders based on the received plurality of SRS, wherein the plurality of SRS are associated with the one or more precoders.

Abstract: Techniques for interference-based beam selection are discussed. One example embodiment employable in a UE (User Equipment) can comprise a processor configured to: determine one or more parameters based on configuration signaling, wherein each of the one or more parameters is associated with at least one of channel measurements, interference measurements, or a beam information report; perform the interference measurements for each of one or more distinct UE beams; calculate a measurement metric for each beam pair of one or more beam pairs based on the interference measurements, wherein each beam pair comprises one of the one or more distinct UE beams and an associated NW (Network) beam; and generate the beam information report comprising the measurement metric for at least one beam pair of the one or more beam pairs.

Abstract: Technology for a user equipment (UE) operable to determine a transport block size (TBS) is disclosed. The UE can determine a number of assigned resource elements (REs) in one or more symbols for a transport block. The UE can determine a reference number of REs per physical resource block (PRB) in the transport block based on a reference number of REs for the transport block corresponding to each PRB and an assigned number of PRBs for the transport block. The UE can determine a TBS for the transport block based at least on the reference number of REs per PRB in the transport block. The UE can encode information in a selected transport block for transmission via a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) to a Next Generation NodeB (gNB) in accordance with the TBS determined at the UE.

Abstract: Provided herein are a method and an apparatus for interference measurement using a beam management reference signal (BM-RS). The disclosure provides an apparatus for a user equipment (UE), comprising circuitry configured to: decode one or more beam management reference signals broadcasted by a Transmission Reception Point (TRP) in a cell, wherein the one or more beam management reference signals are used by the TRP to perform beam management for respective one or more other UEs in the cell; and measure interference from the one or more other UEs in the cell based on the decoded one or more beam management reference signals. According to some embodiments, the overhead for the interference measurement can be reduced since it is not necessary to allocate a separate CSI-RS for the purpose of interference measurement.

In one example a processor/UE is configured to determine one or more candidate TCIs for a downlink slot; determine a scheduling offset between a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) and a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH); prioritize the candidate TCIs based on the scheduling offset; identify a highest priority candidate TCI; and select the highest priority candidate TCI for receiving the PDSCH.

Abstract: Technology for a user equipment (UE) operable to adjust a receiver timing is disclosed. The UE can decode a plurality of channel-state information reference signals (CSI-RSs) received from a plurality of cooperating nodes, wherein the plurality of cooperating nodes are included in a coordination set of a Coordinated MultiPoint (CoMP) system. The UE can generate a plurality of received RS timings from the plurality of CSI-RSs, wherein the received RS timings represent timings from the plurality of cooperating nodes. The UE can determine a composite received RS timing from the plurality of received RS timings. The UE can adjust the receiver timing based on the composite received RS timing.
