    Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for coordinating scheduling between a wireless scheduler and a backhaul scheduler to reduce uplink data transmission latency. In some examples, an uplink data prediction for uplink data to transmit over a wireless connection of a wireless network is identified by a wireless scheduler of a wireless network. The uplink data prediction can be provided to a backhaul scheduler of a backhaul of the wireless network. The wireless scheduler can be coordinated with the backhaul scheduler by the backhaul scheduler to coordinate transmission of the uplink data through the backhaul based on the uplink data prediction. The uplink data can then be received at the backhaul for transmission through the backhaul based on the uplink data prediction.

    Abstract: Digital pre-distortion may be provided. First, a radio frequency (RF) domain distortion correcting signal and a base band (BB) domain distortion correcting signal may be initialized. Then the RF domain distortion correcting signal may be generated from an input signal. The generated RF domain distortion correcting signal may correspond to an amplifier. Next, the BB domain distortion correcting signal may be generated from the input signal. The generated BB domain distortion correcting signal may correspond to the amplifier. Then the RF domain distortion correcting signal and the BB domain distortion correcting signal may be combined to form a hybrid distortion correcting signal. The hybrid distortion correcting signal may then be provided to input matching circuitry feeding the amplifier.

    Abstract: A virtual physical layer may be provided. When providing the virtual physical layer, a remote radio head may be used. The remote radio head may comprise a first interface device, a second interface device, a digital-to-analog converter, and an analog-to-digital converter. The first interface device may be connected to a virtual physical layer instance instantiated in a cloud-based environment. The second interface device may be connected to customer premises equipment. The digital-to-analog converter may be connected between the first interface device and the second interface device and the analog-to-digital converter may also be connected between the first interface device and the second interface device.

    Abstract: Designs for a front end for suppressing adjacent channel interference (ACI) and adjacent leakage interference (ALI) in a full duplex cable modem (CM) for a Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification (“DOCSIS”) network are described. The CM includes an upstream (US) signal path receiving a digital US input signal and transmitting an analog-converted US signal in a US frequency range to a cable modem termination system (CMTS); a downstream (DS) signal path receiving an analog DS signal in a DS frequency range and converting the analog DS signal into a digital DS signal; and an echo cancellation (EC) circuit configured to subtract, from at least one of the analog DS signal and the digital DS signal, a correction signal generated from the digital US input signal or a correction signal generated from the analog-converted US signal to generate an echo-cancelled digital DS input signal without ACI and ALI.

    Abstract: A method is described and in one embodiment includes providing a physical connection between a node and a user equipment at a subscriber premises via a cable connection, wherein the node comprises a Data Over Cable Service Interface Specification (“DOCSIS”) remote PHY device (“RPD”) collocated with a cellular small cell device; receiving at the node a cellular downlink (“DL”) data signal from a cellular network connected to the cellular small cell device; combining the received cellular DL data signal with a DOCSIS downstream (“DS”) signal from a cellular network connected to the DOCSIS RPD to create a combined DS data signal; and forwarding the combined DS data signal from the node to the user equipment via the cable connection.

    Abstract: An example apparatus comprises a processor, and a memory element in communication with the processor. The processor configured to send a first message to at least a first cable modem of a plurality of cable modems. The first message indicates an upstream test signal to be generated by the first cable modem within a predetermined portion of a frequency spectrum allocated for downstream communication. The processor is further configured to send a second message to at least a second cable modem of the plurality of cable modems. The second message indicates a downstream interference measurement to be performed on the upstream test signal by the second cable modem. The processor is further configured to receive at least one interference measurement result indicative of the downstream interference measurement, and determine at least one interference group for the plurality of cable modems based upon the at least one interference measurement result.

    Abstract: An example system and method for facilitating virtual cable modem termination system VCMTS redundancy in cable modem network environments is provided and includes spawning a first instance of a virtual network function (VNF) on a first server in a cable modem network, spawning a second instance of the VNF on a different second server, configuring the second instance to be communicatively coupled to the first instance in a same subnet of the network, and synchronizing (e.g., copying, coordinating, matching, etc.) state between the first instance and the second instance. In specific embodiments, the VNF comprises a VCMTS.
