Abstract:
A device displays a listing of items in an item data display area on a display. The device receives an indication of a pinch gesture from a touch-enabled screen and scales a facet of the item data to produce a scaled-facet listing responsive to the pinch gesture. The device scales by modifying a degree of a characteristic corresponding with a facet of the item data displayed in the scaled-data display area in an increasing amount responsive to the pinch-in gesture. The modifying further comprises producing a scaled-out listing implemented as an updated portion of item data having a temporal indicator that is later than an initial display of item data by an amount proportional to a magnitude of a pinch gesture characteristic corresponding to the pinch-in gesture. Finally, the device displays the scaled-facet listing as an updated set of item data.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for multi-directional visual browsing on an electronic device are described. In example embodiments, a primary result and a peripheral result are determined. A display layout based on attributes associated with the primary result and the peripheral result is generated. The display layout is then formatted into instructions, which will cause a device to render the display layout. The instructions are transmitted to the client device.
Abstract:
Described herein is a system and method for performing ancillary activity. A device activity being performed by a user device of a user is detected. Attribute data associated with a plurality of attribute sources is accessed. A user preference indicating a preference for performing on a secondary user device a complementary activity corresponding to the device activity is inferred. Based on the inferred user preference, the secondary user device is identified according to a device status of the secondary user device, the device status indicating a device capability to perform the complementary activity. The complementary activity to be performed on the secondary user device is generated by analyzing at least one of the device activity, a device functionality of the secondary user device, and the user preference. Instructions to perform the complementary activity are transmitted to the secondary user device.
Abstract:
In various example embodiments, a system and method for data mesh-based environmental augmentation are presented. Attribute data associated with a user may be received from a plurality of attribute sources. A portion of the attribute data may include real-time data. A portion of the real-time data indicative of an identity of the user may be identified. The identity of the user may be authenticated with respect to the real-time data by analyzing the identified portion of the real-time data. Based on the authentication of the identity of the user, a user activity being performed by the user may be identified based on the real-time data, and the user activity may be augmented according to a user setting.
Abstract:
Gesture functionality is provided in a computing environment. In example embodiments, a gesture input is received. A style difference is identified between a known gesture input of a set of known gesture inputs and the received gesture input. The set of known gesture inputs is caused to be modified to include the style difference by updating a database that stores the set of known gesture inputs.

Abstract:
An indication of a touch on a touch-enabled screen of a device is received that indicates a selection of a date facet in a listing of items. The date facet denotes a temporal indicator, other facets denote non-temporal indicators. An indication of a pinch gesture is received. The date facet is scaled to produce a scaled-facet listing. The scaling includes modifying a degree of a characteristic of the date facet in an increasing amount including producing a scaled-out listing implemented as an updated portion of item data having a different temporal indicator than an initial display of the item data by an amount proportional to a magnitude of a pinch gesture characteristic of the pinch gesture. The scaled-facet listing is displayed by exposing an updated set of the item data having the modified degree of the characteristic and replacing previous item data with the scaled-out listing.
