摘要: To provide a technique whereby a user can carry out operations in the same operating environment, regardless of whether the user uses a computer inside a network system, or uses a terminal outside the network system. A network system comprises: a first computer used by a designated user; and a plurality of second computers capable of being shared by a plurality of users. A management device, if a storage device is utilized by the first computer, allows the first computer to connect to a designated storage area and execute the boot-up program stored therein. The management device, if the storage device is utilized by an external terminal used by the designated user, allows one designated computer selected from the plurality of second computers to connect to the designated storage area and execute the boot-up program, and allows the external terminal to connect to the designated computer.

摘要: A service AP conducting ordinary business processing is executed on a first OS. The first OS includes an operation recording controller for recording operation conducted by the first OS as operation recording information together with time when the operation is conducted, and an auxiliary driver for accepting and executing external processing. A multi-OS controller interface included in a second OS, which is higher in reliability than the first OS, operates a multi-OS controller from an AP operating on the second OS. An analysis and prediction AP operating on the second OS analyzes states of the first OS and the service AP, and detects a failure sign. Upon detecting a failure sign, degrade operation of the OS or service AP to be analyzed, preparations for switching from an active system to a stand-by system, and actual switching are conducted before the failure occurs.

摘要: A hot-melt type ink jet printer includes a nozzle head for ejecting a hot-melt type ink onto a sheet. The printer has a sheet feed passage defined by, in order from an upstream side in a sheet feeding direction, a sheet supply roller, a preheat platen, a sheet feed roller, a main platen, a cooling platen, discharge roller and a sheet discharge opening. The preheat platen and main platen have preheater and main heater, respectively, and these platen and the cooling platen are supported on a frame. A first suction port is formed between the main platen and the cooling platen and a second suction port is formed between the cooling platen and the frame. A power board and a cooling fan is provided within the frame for cooling the power board. By rotation of the cooling fan, air is introduced from the sheet discharge opening into the frame through the first and second suction ports to also cool the cooling platen and the heating platen.

摘要: A sheet feeding device has a correction value storage memory which stores a plurality of correction values for the previously set sheet feed error of the sheet feeding mechanism. The drive-control section operates to control the sheet feed amount by one correction value which allows the feed error of the sheet feeding mechanism to be minimized, the value being selected from the correction values stored in the correction value storage memory. In such the manner, the sheet feed amount is corrected by the correction value, so that the feed error of each component of the sheet feeding mechanism can be easily corrected.

摘要: A method of producing a flat solid electrolyte layer of a flat film type oxygen sensor is disclosed. The method comprises in steps, (a) preparing first and second electrolyte pastes each containing stabilizer, the content of stabilizer in the first electrolyte paste being smaller than that in the second electrolyte paste, (b) applying the first electrolyte paste onto an electrode layer and then applying the second electrolyte paste onto the outer face of the first electrolyte paste to form a layered paste heap on the electrode layer, and (c) firing the layered paste heap to form a solid electrolyte layer on the electrode layer. With this production method, the stabilizer is uniformly and homogeneously distributed into the body of the fired electrolyte layer.

摘要: A method of detecting numerical values for air/fuel ratio of either a lean air-fuel mixture or a rich mixture supplied to, for example, a combustion engine by means of an oxygen sensor disposed in the exhaust gas. The sensor comprises a porous measurement electrode layer on one side of a porous solid electrolyte layer, e.g., of zirconia and a porous reference electrode layer on the other side with a shield layer thereon, so that the reference electrode layer communicates with the exhaust gas through pores in the sensor. Measurement is accomplished by keeping a DC current flowing between the two electrode layers to establish a reference oxygen partial pressure on the reference electrode side. The intensity of the current is made below a critical value above which an EMF generated by the sensor becomes substantially constant unless the air/fuel ratio changes across the stoichiometric ratio, and the direction of the current flow is chosen depending on whether the air-fuel mixture is a lean one or a rich one.

摘要: An image forming device includes: a main body; a plurality of image forming units; a holding unit; and an engagement mechanism. Each of the plurality of image forming units has a developing portion. The holding unit holds the plurality of image forming units. The plurality of image forming units are aligned in the holding unit in a predetermined drawing direction. The holding unit is configured so as to be drawn out in the predetermined drawing direction from a storage position where the holding unit is stored in the main body. The holding unit sequentially reaches a plurality of different drawing positions while moving in the predetermined drawing direction. The plurality of image forming units are sequentially exposed to the outside while the holding unit sequentially reaches the plurality of drawing positions. The engagement mechanism is configured to engage the holding unit with the main body when the holding unit reaches each of the plurality of drawing positions.
