In case of a side collision, the temperature sensor measures the short-term adiabatic temperature increase and a control device detects a side collision as a function of the measured temperature increase and the temperature gradient. A triggering decision is made by plausibility testing using an acceleration sensor.

The belt operating sensor is either a mechanical switch, which is activated in response to the snapping of a belt tongue into the buckle, or it is composed of an electrically controllable switch, which is controlled by a magnetic-field-sensitive element, which reacts to a magnetic field that is influenced by a belt tongue that is inserted into the buckle. Only via a wiring pair can the control unit both diagnose the firing element as well as determine the operating state of the belt.

    摘要: A device for sensing a side impact in a motor vehicle, the side impact sensing being performed with a deformation sensor element which is attached on a sensor bottom plate, which is in turn mounted on a side part reinforcing element with riveted connections. A temperature sensor which is also present on the sensor bottom plate detects the ambient temperature in the side part and the deformation sensor delivers a static output signal to ascertain whether the riveted connections still have a predetermined mechanical strength. If the temperature measured by the temperature sensor exceeds room temperature, the static output signal of the deformation sensor is checked with the predetermined threshold value, and if it falls below this threshold value, a defect is detected.

    摘要: The invention is directed to an apparatus for triggering passenger protection systems particularly restraining systems in vehicles during their impact. In the previous systems, there is the disadvantage that the protective systems are only triggered late or not at all during critical impact situations at relatively low negative accelerations. The disadvantage chiefly results because a differential signal is fed to the input of an integrator which comprises the difference between a signal derived from the acceleration and a constant threshold value signal. According to the invention, a variable threshold value is deducted from the derived acceleration signal rather than a constant threshold value.

When the supply voltage drops below a threshold, the comparator circuit opens the first switching circuit component and closes a second switching circuit component with the result that, at this point, the charged energy reserve is available for the voltage supply to the circuit configuration normally supplied with voltage from the supply voltage and the voltage transformer is disconnected from the supply voltage.
