    Abstract: Hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) processes may be transmitted via configured grants as well as scheduled grants. The configured grants may include time and frequency resources, and transmissions may occur across contiguous transmissions. HARQ process information, such as HARQ IDs and redundancy versions, may be communicated via a control channel, and the control channel may be multiplexed with the transmission resources of the configured grants. Retransmission timers may be used for HARQ processes conveyed via configured grants, and the transmitting apparatus may signal to a receiver when to send an acknowledgement. An acknowledgement may take the form of bitmaps for code block groups of a HARQ. A configured grant may be selected from among multiple configured grants based upon low latency, for example. A group of configured grants may be activated or deactivated via a single command.

    Abstract: A first apparatus including a processor; and a memory storing computer-executable instructions that when executed by the processor cause the first apparatus to: receive, from a second apparatus, information including Discontinuous Reception (DRX) configurations, wherein one of the DRX configurations is a first active DRX configuration and other DRX configurations are candidate DRX configurations; perform Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH) monitoring in accordance with the first active DRX configuration; monitor signaling from the second apparatus for an indication that is used for adapting the first active DRX configuration; receive from the second apparatus an indication for adapting the first active DRX configuration into a second active DRX configuration; based on the indication for adapting the first active DRX configuration into the second active DRX configuration, adapt the first active DRX configuration into the second active DRX configuration; and perform PDCCH monitoring in accordance with the second active DRX configuration.

    Abstract: The present application is at least directed to an apparatus including a non-transitory memory with stored instructions for beam link pairing the apparatus to a gNB in a new radio. A processor of the apparatus, operably coupled to the non-transitory memory, executes an instruction of detecting synchronization signal blocks (SS). Another executed instruction includes receiving PRACH resource information in a master information block on a PBCH or system information block (SIB) on the secondary PBCH. Another executed instruction includes transmitting PRACH preambles through a set of uplink transmission beams in a subframe including the group of SS blocks. The PRACH preambles may be obtained from the PRACH resource information. Even another executed instruction including determining the apparatus is in a radio resource control (RRC) connected state. A further executed instruction includes measuring, while in the RRC connected state, a multiple set of channel state information reference signals (CSI-RSs) configured by the gNB. Yet a further executed instruction includes transmitting, to the gNB, a single report based on the multiple set of CSI-RSs.

    Abstract: The present application describes a WTRU including a non-transitory memory including instructions stored thereon for re-establishing a remote radio control (RRC) connection with a base station. The apparatus also includes a processor capable of executing instructions of determining, based upon a measurement in an active downlink bandwidth part (DL BWP), to initiate a random access channel (RACH) procedure. The processor also executes instructions of switching to a default uplink bandwidth part (UL BWP). The processor also executes instructions of initiating the RACH procedure. The process further executes instructions of transmitting a RA preamble using one of the RACH resources configured for the default UL BWP. The processor even further executes instructions of receiving a RA response. The processor yet even further executes instructions of switching from the default UL BWP to either an active UL BWP or another active UL BWP after re-establishing the RRC connection.
