摘要: A mobile beverage dispensing unit includes a replaceable syrup module, a replaceable liquid module, and a replaceable mixing module. The replaceable mixing module creates a beverage by mixing liquid that is dispensed from the replaceable liquid module and syrup that is contained in the replaceable syrup module to create a beverage. The mobile beverage dispensing unit may contain a replaceable dispensing module that dispenses the beverage that is formed in the replaceable mixing module. A plumbing module may connect the replaceable liquid module and the replaceable syrup module to the replaceable mixing module and may also connect the replaceable mixing module to the replaceable dispensing unit. A user may cause the beverage to be dispensed from the replaceable dispensing module by operating a dispensing mechanism that controls the flow of the beverage.

摘要: Apparatuses and methods for scanned beam endoscopes, endoscope tips, and scanned beam imagers are disclosed. In one aspect, a scanned beam endoscope includes at least one light detection element that collects light reflected from a FOV through one or more openings in the scanner of the endoscope. In another aspect, the illumination optical fiber may be positioned so that its output end is laterally positioned in relation to the scanner. In yet another aspect, the scanner is oriented to provide a non-axial FOV.

摘要: A device for driving a plant such as a beam scanner includes a memory, drive-signal generator, and a calibrator. The memory stores data corresponding to the drive signal, and the generator generates the drive signal from the data and couples the drive signal to the plant. The calibrator measures a response of the plant to the drive signal, calculates a difference between the measured response and a corresponding target response, and reduces the difference by altering the drive signal. Such a device can force the output response of the driven plant to equal a target output response, or to be sufficiently close to the target response for a particular application, while the device is operating in an open-loop configuration. Furthermore, while operating in an open-loop configuration, such a device often has a greater stability margin and greater noise immunity than a comparable device that operates in a closed-loop configuration.

摘要: According to embodiments, an image bitmap is modified to compensate for non-idealities in actual beam locations delivered by a scanned beam or laser scanner system compared to desired pixel locations. For a non-ideal actual beam location, pixel values for neighboring desired pixel locations may be used to generate a compensated actual pixel value. According to some embodiments, the compensated actual pixel value may be a weighted average of the neighboring desired pixel values. The weighting factors may be determined from the actual beam location compared to the desired respective pixel locations. The system may compensate for various distortions including optical aberrations and scanning distortion.

摘要: A MEMS oscillator, such as a MEMS scanner, has an improved and simplified drive scheme and structure. Drive impulses may be transmitted to an oscillating mass via torque through the support arms. For multi-axis oscillators drive signals for two or more axes may be superimposed by a driver circuit and transmitted to the MEMS oscillator. The oscillator responds in each axis according to its resonance frequency in that axis. The oscillator may be driven resonantly in some or all axes. Improved load distribution results in reduced deformation. A simplified structure offers multi-axis oscillation using a single moving body. Another structure directly drives a plurality of moving bodies. Another structure eliminates actuators from one or more moving bodies, those bodies being driven by their support arms.

摘要: A method, apparatus, and article of manufacture provide the ability to produce a smooth triangulated irregular network (TIN) surface. A TIN surface is obtained in a drawing on a GIS/CAD application. Thereafter, a surface smoothing technique is selected, such as Kriging or natural neighbor interpolation (NNI). Once interpolation output parameters are specified, additional surface points are interpolated in accordance with the selected surface smoothing technique and interpolation output parameters. The interpolated points may then be used to smooth the TIN surface.

摘要: An EMI shielded connector assembly for a cable connector is formed of aluminum and has an aperture 44 therein to receive potting compound 46 to secure the wires 28 to the connector body. The braided inner cover 26 of the cable 24 is formed into a pig tail 34 and is secured in the back-shell 40 by the potting compound 46. Between the braided inner cover 26 and the braided outer cover 30 which is the braided shield, a ferrule member 60 is positioned on the cable and the outer cover 30 is braided over the ferrule member 60. Next the ferrule clamping member 62 is positioned over the ferrule member 60 in such a position that the groove 68 overrides the ring 66. The two ferrule member 60 and 62 are pressed together and form a strain relief means 38. The strain relief means 38 is welded 42 to the back-shell 40 and a rivet 48 plugs the potting aperture 44 in the back-shell 40 after which a rubberized boot 50 is formed over the enclosure. Prior to forming the boot 50, the back-shell 40 is staked or secured to the connector body. The result is a solid, secure EMI shielded enclosure for a cable connector and operates with either a straight or elbow back-shell 40.

摘要: A circuit for enhancing the performance of a random-access-memory-based memory expansion system is disclosed. Memory capacity and a control register are added to the traditional memory mapping circuit. The increased memory is utilized to store several maps simultaneously and the circuit output is then switched from one stored map to another according to data present at the control register outputs. Thus, by pre-loading the circuit with all the memory maps required by a particular program, delay caused by map changes is reduced to the time required to move data to the control register outputs.
