摘要: A method for controlling color in printing technology machines, includes measuring color measured values without/with a UV filter and converting them with a computer to color measured values measured with/without a UV filter. The color measured values measured without/with a UV filter are recorded by a color measurement instrument on a substrate. The spectral remission values of the substrate measured with and without a UV filter are supplied to the computer and the computer converts color measured values measured without/with a UV filter to color measured values measured with/without a UV filter taking into account these supplied spectral remission values of the substrate, and uses them to control the color in the printing technology machine. A printing technology machine having a computer for carrying out the method, is also provided.

摘要: A method for color control in printing presses having at least one first color measuring instrument and at least one second color measuring instrument, includes registering at least one first inking zone on a printing material with the first color measuring instrument and registering at least one other, second inking zone on the printing material with the second color measuring instrument. In a first step, a color difference between actual colorations of the first and second inking zones is calculated, in a second step, a color difference between an actual coloration of the first inking zone and a desired coloration of the second inking zone is calculated and, in a further step, the calculated color differences are added and supplied to a color control for the second inking zone.

摘要: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, implementing techniques for word processing. The techniques include receiving a word processing document that includes natural language text, identifying in the word processing document a segment of artificial language text that is written in a particular artificial language, performing one or more word processing functions on the natural language text, and validating the artificial language text using one or more validation functions that are specific to the particular artificial language. The artificial language is a language that has a formal definition. The word processing functions including proofreading the natural language text for spelling, grammar, or style errors.

摘要: A apparatus and apparatus for compensating for video insertion loss due to transmission over long twisted pair cable lines is presented. Transmission of video over twisted pair cable is advantageous because of its superior cost advantage over coaxial cable. However, twisted pair cables have significant loss characteristics at the higher frequencies (i.e., broadband) compared to coaxial cables. At a transmitter station, the video signal is amplified in the high frequency region for possible skin effect losses thereby brute forcing the high frequency components to the receiving station. At the receiver station, the video signal is further compensated for diffusion line and skin effect losses. The total skin effect compensation applied in both the transmitter and receiver stations is such that the square root of frequency characteristics of skin effect losses is compensated for. Thus, at the receiving station, the high frequency compensation added at the transmitter to brute force the high frequency components to the receiving station may be removed if found excessive. Additionally, compensation is included to adjust for skew that may occur because of irregularities between the various twisted pairs used to transmit the individual video components. Non-minimum phase type filters are used to inject delay into the faster arriving signals so that they may coincide in phase with later arriving signals resulting in a true reproduction of the video.

摘要: Methods and apparatus, including computer systems and program products, that relate to diversification of computer code. The methods feature a machine-implemented method that includes receiving input computer code, and automatically generating multiple versions of diversified computer code, where each version of the diversified computer code is distinct from but functionally equivalent to the input computer code. The input computer code can include source code or binary code and automatically generating multiple versions of diversified computer code can include automatically generating multiple versions of diversified source and/or binary code. Automatically generating diversified computer code can include applying multiple diversification operations.

摘要: Methods and apparatus, including computer program products, for delivering resources for installation on a machine involves receiving a first request from one or more installer components requesting one or more requested installation resources. A second request is sent, in response to the first request, for the one or more requested installation resources to multiple service providers. One or more installation resources are obtained from the service providers. The obtained installation resources correspond to the requested installation resources and are obtained as a result of the second request. The obtained installation resources are delivered to the installer components.
