摘要: A method for managing and allocating radio resources (RRMA method) of multiple radio resource types to subscriber stations is disclosed. The RRMA method includes bandwidth partitioning, into parts comprising “slots” with a given reuse pattern, a selection rule, to select a “cell, reuse pattern” pair serving each user, and an allocation rule, for distributing to each user an appropriate number of bandwidth slots from the selected “cell, reuse pattern” pair. After an adaptation period, the method reaches a desired fairness, while simultaneously reaching a maximal mean throughput, possible under this fairness. For big networks, the method provides basically decentralized radio resource management. The RRMA method is useful to cellular networks having a single set of orthogonal sub-channels (frequency/time slots) being reused by all network cells, such as time division multiple access (TDMA), orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA), or OFDMA/TDMA cellular systems. Particularly, the method is applicable in fractional frequency reuse cellular networks.

摘要: A process for restoring an operational state of a portable handheld device is provided. The device may include multiple computing units and persistent storage. The operational state may be generated by a sequence of events. The operational state may receive signals corresponding to a plurality of event types. The process may include selecting an event type for storage, storing in the persistent storage events corresponding to the selected event type, receiving a signal indicating an interruption of operation, and transmitting the stored events to restore the device to the operational state.

摘要: A method for concurrent transmission of multiple radio-frequency signals in a wireless network. The method is executed at a node of the wireless network and makes use of the node's knowledge of local network topology, locations of certain packets in the node's neighborhood, and local state of the radio-frequency (RF) channel to identify a relatively wide range of different opportunities for zero-forcing, aligning, and/or canceling unwanted RF signals at the receiving node(s). The identified opportunities are communicated to the neighbor nodes to advantageously cause concurrent transmissions of a relatively large number of packets.

摘要: The present invention discloses a corrugated settling cup and a multi-cup uniform flux gas anchor, which belong to oilfield gas-liquid separation devices. The external profile of the cup body of the corrugated settling cup rises in a corrugated shape along an axial direction of the corrugated settling cup, which facilitates rapid aggregation and rise of gas. The multi-cup uniform flux gas anchor is comprised of a plurality of the corrugated settling cups, and further includes a central pipe, a plurality of settling cup protectors and a well-flushing valve, wherein the plurality of settling cup protectors are slipped onto the central pipe in clearance fit and the plurality of the corrugated settling cups are slipped onto the central pipe in clearance fit between every two settling cup protectors, a plurality of liquid inlet holes are located evenly on the central pipe at a position close to an inner bottom of each corrugated settling cup, and a lower portion of the central pipe is connected to the well-flushing valve. With the plurality of the corrugated settling cups, the gas anchor divides a gas-liquid mixture into a number of portions, and the external profile rising in a corrugated shape allows the separated gas to rapidly aggregate and rise up, thereby achieving the object of performing effective gas-liquid separation, increasing pump efficiency and oil production, saving energy and reducing consumption.

摘要: Techniques enable locating a position within a file that corresponds to a desired seek time without having access to an index specifying the desired seek time's position. An iterative process may be used to estimate the position that corresponds to the desired seek time. The process may iterate through multiple estimations until a difference between a time corresponding to an estimated position and the desired seek time is within an acceptable amount or until the process reaches an iteration threshold. The file may then be played beginning at or near the desired seek time. The techniques may therefore allow a user to seek within a file while the user progressively downloads or streams the file.

摘要: A retrofit-style lamp is disclosed. The retrofit-style lamp includes a plurality of light sources, and a one-dimensional linear batwing lens. The one-dimensional linear batwing lens beam shapes light emitted by at least two light sources of the plurality of light sources. The retrofit-style lamp also includes a housing including the plurality of light sources, and attached to the one-dimensional linear batwing lens. The combination of housing and lens is then itself fitted with endcaps, including electrical connectors, for placement within a fixture, such as within an existing conventional fluorescent tube fixture located within a storage structure, for example a refrigeration case. Alternatively, the plurality of light sources, the one-dimensional linear batwing lens, and the housing may be formed, along with a power supply, as a standalone retrofit fixture for use in enclosed storage structures, such as refrigeration cases, where the retrofit fixture replaces a conventional fluorescent fixture.
