摘要: The present invention provides an ink jet printing apparatus that can print high-quality images even if a print head with smaller nozzles is used, by efficiently stabilizing the ink ejection state of the print head without increasing the running costs of the printing apparatus. A cap that can be used to cap the print head includes a hole through which ink inside the cap is discharged and which can be sealed so as to retain the ink in the cap.

摘要: Provided is a print position control method whereby displacement of a print position in a wide range can be corrected very accurately, without reducing a printing speed or increasing a manufacturing cost. Thus, a printing apparatus includes: a first correction unit, for correcting a print position at accuracy equal to the resolution of the printing apparatus; and a second correction unit, for correcting the print position at accuracy higher than the resolution and in the range of an area that corresponds to one pixel of the resolution. With this arrangement, the print position displacement in a wide range equal to or greater than one pixel can be corrected by the first correction unit, and a print position displacement smaller than one pixel can be corrected by the second correction unit. Therefore, correction of a print position displacement in a wide range is enabled at a higher accuracy.

摘要: The fertilizer of the invention is a fertilizer containing a sparingly water-soluble phosphatic fertilizer and a urea/aliphatic aldehyde condensation product. The process for controlling inoganizing speed of urea/aliphatic aldehyde condensation product of the invention comprises adding to the urea/aliphatic aldehyde condensation product a sparingly water-soluble phosphatic fertilizer having special elution characteristics. The fertilizer of the invention and the process for controlling inoganizing speed of urea/aliphatic aldehyde condensation product of the invention make it possible to control the inorganizing speed of the condensation product without changing the particle size or form, that is, to control development of the efficacy of the condensation product used as a fertilizer. The fertilizers of the invention or the urea/aliphatic aldehyde condensation products whose inorganizing speeds are controlled according to the process for controlling the inorganizing speed of the invention can provide nitrogen components to plant in accordance with the periods of culture of desired crops and a pattern of absorbing nutrition. This is effective in saving of the number of additional fertilization or nitrogen components left in soil after the period of culture.

摘要: A printer having storing means storing time information indicating the time at which cleaning operations were last performed, with the initial value of time information stored in the storing means being set to a time later than the shipment of the printer. Elapsed time between the time information stored in the storing means and the current time is calculated when a user gives the printer an instruction to start printing operations. The printer performs suitable cleaning operations for a case wherein the calculated value of the elapsed time is negative.

摘要: A wireless communication system includes a repeater and a terminal device. The terminal device is connected to the repeater via a wireless communication channel. The terminal device includes a first section for converting a first electric signal into a first wireless signal, and transmitting the first wireless signal toward the repeater along the wireless communication channel. The terminal device includes a second section for receiving a second wireless signal from the repeater via the wireless communication channel, and converting the second wireless signal into a second electric signal. The terminal device includes a third section for deciding whether or not the first electric signal and the second electric signal are equal to each other to detect whether or not a signal collision occurs on the wireless communication channel.

摘要: A fluid-filled elastic engine mount for a motor vehicle having an engine, comprising a first and a second mounting member which are connected by an elastic body that partially defines a pressure-receiving chamber, a flexible diaphragm member which partially defines an equilibrium chamber, and orifice means for effecting fluid communication between the pressure-receiving and equilibrium chambers. The orifice means defines a first and a second orifice passage which are respectively tuned to adjust respective different components of the idling vibrations of the engine, and a third orifice passage which is tuned to a frequency range lower than that of the engine idling vibrations. The orifice means comprises a movable member which partially defines one of the first and second orifice passages which is tuned to adjust one of the different components of the idling vibration whose frequency is higher than the other of the different components, the movable member restricting an amount of flow of fluid through one of the first and second orifice passages. The engine mount further comprises valve means for selectively enabling or disabling both of the first and said second orifice passages simultaneously for permitting or inhibiting the fluid communication between the two chambers.

摘要: In accordance with the invention, gradation display is performed for each picture element in capacitive display apparatuses such as EL display apparatus by means of pulse width modulation. In doing so, pulse duration of the voltage applied to one group of electrodes among the a plurality of electrodes arranged in matrix is so set as to span over two scanning periods, during which another group of electrodes which are grouped into pairs each of two adjacent lines are scanned successively. This reduces the number of drive voltage charge and discharge cycles. Consequently power consumption of the display apparatus of PWM system can be controlled to a low level.
