摘要： A fluid-filled elastic engine mount for a motor vehicle having an engine, comprising a first and a second mounting member which are connected by an elastic body that partially defines a pressure-receiving chamber, a flexible diaphragm member which partially defines an equilibrium chamber, and orifice means for effecting fluid communication between the pressure-receiving and equilibrium chambers. The orifice means defines a first and a second orifice passage which are respectively tuned to adjust respective different components of the idling vibrations of the engine, and a third orifice passage which is tuned to a frequency range lower than that of the engine idling vibrations. The orifice means comprises a movable member which partially defines one of the first and second orifice passages which is tuned to adjust one of the different components of the idling vibration whose frequency is higher than the other of the different components, the movable member restricting an amount of flow of fluid through one of the first and second orifice passages. The engine mount further comprises valve means for selectively enabling or disabling both of the first and said second orifice passages simultaneously for permitting or inhibiting the fluid communication between the two chambers.

摘要： A vibration-proof mount includes an inner shell member comprised of a center pipe and a bush, and an outer shell member including a first collar and a second collar. The center pipe and the outer shell member are connected to each other by first and second elastomer members with a liquid encapsulated therein. A liquid chamber is formed between the first and second elastomer members and expanded and contracted in volume by a load, and an orifice is defined in the first elastomer member and connected to the liquid chamber. The orifice is formed by only a wall surface of the first elastomer member and hence, the sectional area of a flow path in the orifice can be insured to prevent a difference in characteristic between individuals of the vibration-proof mount, as compared with the case where the orifice is defined between a plurality of members.

摘要： A printing apparatus that includes printing element substrates which are provided with printing elements that discharge ink. A plurality of temperature sensors, each of which is provided with one of the printing element substrates, measures a temperature of a corresponding printing element substrate. A selection unit selects any one of the temperature sensors, and a determination unit performs a determination operation to determine a state of the printing element substrate based on the temperature measured by the selected temperature sensor in a case when only the printing elements of a substrate that corresponds to the selected temperature sensor are driven. The determination unit performs the determination operation on a first substrate and then on a second non-adjacent substrate.

摘要： An ink-jet recording device is capable of correcting a recording position due to a leaning of a printing head and correcting of driving timing between multiple printing heads. Each nozzle row of a printing head is classified into multiple nozzle groups, and the driving timing of the nozzle groups other than the nozzle group serving as a reference of correction of the multiple nozzle groups is adjustable to correct for any leaning of the printing head. Moreover, in the event of performing the driving timing between printing heads, the driving timing of a non-reference printing head is adjustable relative to a reference printing head employed for leaning correction of multiple printing heads.

摘要： A recording device drives a recording head mounted on a carriage while main-scanning by moving the carriage in a direction generally orthogonal to the sheet-feeding direction of a sheet. The recording device drives a first nozzle of the recording head at an upstream side in the sheet-feeding direction of the sheet to form a first dot pattern while scanning the carriage and drives a second nozzle at a downstream side in the sheet-feeding direction of the sheet to form a second dot pattern. The recording device feeds a region where the first dot pattern is recorded to a position facing the second nozzle. The second dot pattern is recorded in a region where the first dot pattern is not recorded.
