Abstract: A method performed at a node where in response to receipt of a signal in a channel in the unlicensed spectrum, the node initiates a scan on one of the channels in the unlicensed spectrum to determine whether the channel is available for transmitting a response. If it is available, then a response is transmitted that comprises information regarding the quality of the channel and the quality of other channels in the unlicensed spectrum along with an indication as to whether the signal was successfully received and decoded.
