摘要: This invention relates to compounds, compositions, and methods useful for modulating cyclin (e.g., cyclin D1) and/or cyclin dependent kinase (CDK) gene expression using short interfering nucleic acid (siNA) molecules. This invention also relates to compounds, compositions, and methods useful for modulating the expression and activity of other genes involved in pathways of cyclin (e.g., cyclin D1) and/or cyclin dependent kinase (CDK) gene expression and/or activity by RNA interference (RNAi) using small nucleic acid molecules. In particular, the instant invention features small nucleic acid molecules, such as short interfering nucleic acid (siNA), short interfering RNA (siRNA), double-stranded RNA (dsRNA), micro-RNA (miRNA), and short hairpin RNA (shRNA) molecules and methods used to modulate the expression of cyclin (e.g., cyclin D1) and/or cyclin dependent kinase (CDK) genes.

摘要: An insect barrier permitting the downward travel of insects, particularly gypsy moths, over the barrier but preventing insects from travelling upwardly over the barrier. The barrier comprises a contact means for engagement with a tree and a cylindrical portion spaced apart from the tree by the thickness of the contact means. Within the interior of the barrier is a means for preventing the travel of insects. A downwardly sloped conical portion is provided, preferably above the cylindrical portion, having an outer surface permitting the travel of insects thereon. Gypsy moth larvae are permitted to pass over the insect barrier in their daily migration down the tree, but are prevented from ascending past the barrier to re-infest the tree.

摘要: A network communication service with an improved subscriber model. In one embodiment, a mobile user (MU), also referred to as a subscriber, may access the network service through a portable computing device (PCD) using a wireless (or wired) network interface card. Access points (APs) for the network may be widely distributed in various facilities. In one embodiment, the APs are arranged at known geographic locations and may provide geographic location information regarding the geographic location of the mobile user (MU). A digital certificate may be stored on the mobile user's PCD in order to allow access to the network. The digital certificate may store sponsorship information, including information regarding programs or entities in which the mobile user is a member or is affiliated. Each mobile user (subscriber) to the network service may have a “value bucket” which determines the amount of network access or service available to the user. Billing for access to the network communication service, i.e., the amount the “value bucket” is drained or filled, may be based on one or more of a number of factors, including information stored in the digital certificate, such as sponsorship information, the geographic location of the user, demographic information of the user, and charging information of the user.

摘要: Host translation of guest keyboard events is blocked to effectively isolate a guest keyboard from a host keyboard during applications sharing. A guest keyboard driver translates guest keyboard events which are transmitted to a host for use in shared applications. A patch instruction is written over a host keyboard event module which causes a jump to a patch subroutine when an attempt is made to deposit host keyboard events in the storage queue. Host keyboard events are marked by the patch subroutine and the marked host events are deposited in a shadow queue which is disposed in parallel with the host storage queue. Translated guest events also are deposited in the shadow queue. Raw host and guest keyboard events are stored in the host storage queue. When a shared application requires data from the host storage queue, a call for a translation of the outgoing data is made. In the event that the data is guest data, a second patch instruction on the module supervising the translation call causes a jump to a second patch subroutine, which bypasses the translation call and causes entry of the pretranslated guest event from the shadow queue into the shared application. If the outgoing event is a host event, the second patch instruction jumps to the second patch subroutine, which writes the translation instructions over the second patch so that the translating module can execute the translation. The translated host event then can be entered into the shared application. The second patch instruction is rewritten over the module supervising the translation.

摘要: A seating arrangement for a passenger-carrying vehicle, especially aircraft. The arrangement provides a plurality of seating positions, a seating position comprising a seat and a footwell. The footwell of a first seating position is located beside the seat of a second seating position, the second seating position being located generally forward of the first seating position. Each seat is operable into a reclined state in which a leg-supporting component of the seat projects into the associated footwell. A tray assembly is associated with each console, the tray assembly being deployable from a stowed state in or on the console in which it is disposed generally parallel with a ground surface on which the seating arrangement rests during use.

摘要: An adaptive marketing image recognition system enables internet-based interactivity between individuals, commercial entities, and internet-based social networks. The system may receive a digital image from an individual and process the images to recognize at least one marketing image contained within the digital image. The system may identify at least one commercial entity associated with the marketing image, and provide a marketing response to the individual that may be tailored to the individual. The system may additionally provide marketing responses to members of an internet-based social network to which the individual belongs. Marketing metrics associated with the recognized marketing image and distribution of marketing responses may be compiled by the system and provided to the at least one commercial entity.
