Abstract: In an embodiment, a UE selects between RS collision protocols to selectively monitor, on downlink resource(s) scheduled with overlapping transmissions of first and second RS types, either the first RS type or neither RS type. In another embodiment, a base station determines that a downlink resource(s) are scheduled with overlapping transmissions of first and second RS types, punctures the second RS type, and selectively transmits the first RS type on the overlapped downlink resource(s). In another embodiment, a base station establishes non-overlapping NPRS and eNPRS transmission schedules.

Abstract: Aspects directed towards sounding reference signal (SRS) antenna switching are disclosed. In one example, an SRS configuration is received from a network in which at least four antennas of a scheduled entity are configured based on the SRS configuration. Here, the SRS configuration configures at least one antenna to simultaneously support SRS antenna switching and an uplink (UL) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) communication. An SRS communication is then transmitted according to the SRS configuration. In another example, a transmission capability reporting is received from a scheduled entity comprising at least four antennas. A determination is then made of whether the scheduled entity may simultaneously support SRS antenna switching and an UL MIMO communication. An SRS configuration is then generated for the scheduled entity based on the determination in which a default SRS configuration configures at least one antenna to simultaneously support the SRS antenna switching and the UL MIMO communication.

In an aspect, a UE receives, over the wireless narrowband channel, an NPRS of a first subset of the extended NPRS sequence and measures the NPRS of the first subset of the extended PRS sequence. In an aspect, the extended NPRS sequence may be a function of a plurality of slot numbers of a plurality of slots of a plurality of sequential radio frames and a plurality of symbol indexes of a plurality of symbols of a single physical resource block.

The base station may encode a wakeup signal so that a preamble of the wakeup signal indicates whether the wakeup signal is relevant to the UE. The UE may select a technique for detecting the wakeup signal based at least in part on a partial, full, or no synchronization. The UE may apply the DFT OCC to a second virtual hop that is associated with the PUCCH transmission, wherein the first virtual hop and the second virtual hop are associated with equal quantities of orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols, wherein a size of the DFT OCC is based at least in part on the quantities of OFDM symbols, and wherein the first virtual hop and the second virtual hop are not associated with physical frequency hopping.
