Abstract: Configured grant operations for new radio (NR) unlicensed spectrum (NR-U) carrier aggregation (CA) are disclosed. In an aspect, a method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) may include transmitting uplink (UL) data to a base station according to a configured grant configuration. The method may also include determining a carrier to receive feedback from the base station based on the configured grant configuration. The method may further include receiving feedback from the base station on the carrier in response to the transmitting of the UL data.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatuses for determining whether a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) is to be transmitted, and a configuration for transmission of the CSI-RS on a wideband based on an outcome of a listen-before-talk (LBT) operation in multiple sub-bands of the wideband. In one aspect, a base station may transmit sub-band usage information indicating sub-band availability before the CSI-RS, thereby allowing a user equipment (UE) to determine whether the CSI-RS will be transmitted and, if so, on which sub-bands the CSI-RS will be transmitted. Furthermore, rate matching configurations are provided based on whether sub-band usage has been received, based on which sub-bands are available. Still further, power configurations and resource element selection criteria are provided for wideband CSI-RS and CSI feedback.

In some aspects, a user equipment may receive an indication of a set of starting offsets for an uplink communication, wherein the set of starting offsets includes at least one negative starting offset relative to a start of a slot or a mini-slot in which the uplink communication is configured to start; select a starting offset from the set of starting offsets; and transmit the uplink communication, wherein the uplink communication starts at a time indicated by the selected starting offset. Abstract: New radio (NR) shared spectrum (NR-SS) listen before talk (LBT) gap optimizations are disclosed in which an indication, such as the preemption indicator, may provide an indication of a communications gap, in which preemptive communications may occur, to a user equipment (UE) currently engaged in communications, whether the preemptive communications are to another UE or network node or through different signal channels. The gap and preemptive communication may be measured in full symbol lengths, sub-symbol lengths, or interlaces. The communication gap may provide sufficient resources for the preempting node to adequately obtain the shared channel via listen before talk (LBT) procedures, and for the original UE to resume communications after the gap. The communication gap may also be optimally configured in order to provide both the UE and preempting node as much communication resources as possible within the scheduled communication opportunities.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to configured transmissions in a shared radio frequency band are provided. A user equipment (UE) receives, from a base station (BS), an indication of a first configured resource in a shared radio frequency band for a communication in a first direction. The UE receives, from the BS, a first configuration to select between a validation of the first direction or an absence of an invalidation of the first direction for using the first configured resource for the communication. The UE communicates, with the BS, the communication in the first direction using the first configured resource based on the first configuration.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatuses for listen-before-talk (LBT) failure-based channel congestion measurement and recovery triggering. In one aspect, a user equipment (UE) may determine an LBT metric based on a result of attempting to perform an uplink transmission in connection with an LBT procedure. For example, the UE may determine an absolute quantity of LBT failures, a ratio of unsuccessful uplink transmissions to total uplink transmission attempts, an absolute quantity of LBT successes, or another type of LBT metric. The UE may trigger a recovery action, such as a radio link failure (RLF) recovery action or a bandwidth part switch, based on determining that the LBT metric satisfies a threshold.
