Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for enhancing location reporting procedures to include height information of a user equipment (UE), such as an aerial UE. The location reporting procedures may be between a core network entity and an access network entity. Due to the differences in coverage regions between areal cells and terrestrial cells, aerial UEs may not fully rely on cell identifiers (IDs) as a primary location indicator due to its ambiguity (e.g., as the aerial UEs may use a side-lobe or up-tilted beam of a far-away cell that provides a cell ID while its conventional geographical location belongs to another, closer cell). Aspects of the present disclosure provides techniques for enhancing the location reporting procedures for the aerial UEs to prevent such potential errors in location reporting.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described herein. For example, a UE may transmit a radio capability identifier to a network entity. In some examples, the radio capability identifier may indicate a set of radio capabilities of the UE. In response to receiving the radio capability identifier, the network entity may determine feedback indicating whether the set of radio capabilities indicated by the radio capability identifier satisfy a respective radio capabilities of a radio capability profile for an application associated with the UE. The network entity may transmit the determined feedback to the UE and, in response, the UE may establish a session for the application associated with the UE.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration associated with a service, the configuration indicating a first set of one or more parameters for accessing the service in a multicast mode using non-access stratum (NAS)-based signaling, and a second set of one or more parameters for accessing the service in a broadcast mode within a broadcast service area. The UE may receive information associated with the service using one of the multicast mode or the broadcast mode. The UE may switch to receiving information associated with the service using the other of the multicast mode or the broadcast mode based at least in part on the first set of one or more parameters or the second set of one or more parameters. Abstract: A UE transmits an indication of a capability for at least one of determining a domain name system (DNS) parameter for a DNS query that is different than a DNS setting from a network and redirecting the DNS query based on the DNS setting from the network. The UE receives, from the network, an instruction to monitor DNS queries based on the capability of the UE and enforcing the DNS settings from the network. An SMF receives, from a UE, an indication of a capability for at least one of determining a DNS parameter for a DNS query that is different than a DNS setting from a network and redirecting the DNS query based on the DNS setting from the network. The apparatus transmits, to the UE, an instruction to monitor DNS queries and to enforce the DNS settings from the network based on the capability of the UE.

Abstract: Wireless communications systems and methods related to on-demand ultra-reliable, low-latency communication (URLLC) are provided. In one embodiment, a base station (BS) receives, from a user equipment (UE) in a first cell frequency, a request for a protocol data unit (PDU) session over a network slice. The BS receives, from a core network entity, a resource configuration request for the PDU session over the network slice. The BS transmits, to the core network entity, a resource configuration response indicating a cause for rejecting the resource configuration request. In one embodiment, a UE transmits, in a first cell frequency of a network, a network registration request message requesting a network slice of the network that is not provided by the first cell frequency. The UE receives a network registration response message indicating the network slice is allowed based on a second cell frequency of the network providing the network slice requested.

Abstract: In one aspect, a remote device generates data for transmission to a network based on an application, selects one of a set of data routing options for routing the data to the network based on policy control information; each of the set of data routing options includes routing the data via a relay device; and transmits the data to the relay device for routing the data via the selected data routing option. In another aspect, a relay establishes a protocol data unit (PDU) session with a network for relaying data received from a remote device based on policy control information, receives data from the remote device, and transmits the data to a base station coupled to the network via the PDU session. Another aspect relates to the base station operation with respect to the above aspects.
