    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a holding apparatus which includes a base tray and an expansion tray. The base tray can hold a first board, and the expansion tray can hold a second board. The expansion tray can fit within the base tray and can have a transition mechanism. The transition mechanism can engage first connectors on the first board to second connectors on the second board, or disengage the first connectors from the second connectors.

    Abstract: An isolated vibration assembly for a computing device includes a top assembly having a top plate. The assembly further includes a base assembly having a base plate that is generally parallel to and offset from the top plate. A partition assembly is positioned generally perpendicularly between the top plate and the bottom plate, with two partition plates defining an internal space. A plurality of vibration isolators is attached in an interspersed manner to one or more surfaces of the top plate, the base plate, or the two partition plates. A computing device is removably installed within the internal space, generating vibrations that are reduced when passing through the plurality of vibration isolators.

    Abstract: An integrated latch apparatus for a securing and releasing computer equipment from a chassis includes a support bracket, a rotating shaft, a sliding plate having a latching extension, and a handle having a rotating end. The handle is secured at the rotating end to the support bracket about the rotating shaft. The rotating end of the handle includes nudging extensions. A torsion spring is disposed on the rotating shaft such that the torsion spring biases the support bracket against the handle such that the handle is in an open position when the torsion spring is extended towards an equilibrium state and in a closed position when the torsion spring is biased toward a fully compressed state. The nudging extensions engage and laterally move a sliding plate when the handle is rotated between the open position and the closed position.

    Abstract: A cable holder for retaining cables in a system sled is disclosed. The cable holder includes a base bracket, a clip holder, a retention clip, and a releasable latch. The base bracket is couplable to the system sled. The clip holder is coupled to the base bracket via a hinge. The clip holder is configured to rotate relative to the base bracket, and around a rotational axis through the hinge between a first lowered position proximate to the system sled and a second raised position substantially distal from the system sled. The retention clip is coupled to the clip holder, and configured to retain a portion of the cables in the system sled. The releasable latch is operable to lock the clip holder into either the first lowered position or the second raised position.

    Abstract: A computing device is provided with a slot that includes at least one locking element configured to receive a removable general purpose graphic processing unit (GPGPU) carrier. The GPGPU carrier includes a bracket with a first receiving space for securing a first GPGPU, and a second receiving space for securing a second GPGPU. The GPGPU carrier also includes a locking mechanism connected to the bracket and configured to secure the at least one locking element of the computing device to at least one securing mechanism corresponding to the at least one locking element. The locking mechanism includes a lever connected to gear drives configured to actuate the at least one securing mechanism upon actuating the lever.

    Abstract: Embodiments generally relate to a optimizing the design of a chassis, such that the chassis features a different width front end hard disk drive module. Key components of the design include chassis flexibility for different hard drive quantities, and sliding rails which can be installed for sliding the chassis in and out of the rack, taking into account the housing contours of both the chassis and the front end hard disk drive module of different width.
