摘要: Embodiments of present invention provide an ultra-small-pitch optical filter assembly. The assembly includes a fiber collimator being able to receive an optical signal; a WDM filter module being able to de-multiplex the optical signal from the fiber collimator into multiple optical beams; and an optical lens assembly being able to receive the multiple optical beams from the WDM filter module and to reduce a physical spacing among the multiple optical beams from a first pitch D to a second pitch d, wherein D/d A method of fabricating the ultra-small-pitch optical filter assembly is also provided. A method of producing a set of optical beams with ultra-small-pitch of spacing is provided as well.

摘要: Embodiment of present invention provide an optical interconnect apparatus. The apparatus includes an optical signal path; a first set of pigtail fibers attached to a first end of the optical signal path via a first wavelength-division-multiplexing (WDM) filter; and a second set of pigtail fibers attached to a second end of the optical signal path via a second WDM filter. Embodiment of present invention further provide an interconnected optical system that includes a first optical transport terminal having a first set of optical signal ports and a second optical transport terminal having a second set of optical signal ports, with the two sets of optical signal ports being interconnected by the optical interconnect apparatus.

摘要: Embodiment of present invention provides a method of making WDM devices. The method includes preparing a first sheet element having a first top surface and a first bottom surface, a first left surface and a first right surface, and a first WDM filtering coating being applied to the first right surface; preparing a second sheet element having a second top surface and a second bottom surface, a second left surface and a second right surface, and a second WDM filtering coating being applied to the second right surface; stacking the second bottom surface of the second sheet element on top of the first top surface of the first sheet element to form an optical assembly block; and slicing the optical assembly block into a plurality of WDM devices. WDM devices made by the method are also provided.

摘要: Embodiments of present invention provide a WDM device which includes a first element having a first right surface and a first top surface; and a second element having a second left surface and a second bottom surface, wherein the second bottom surface is bonded together with the first top surface and the first right surface is coated with a WDM filtering coating which is adapted to, upon incident of an optical signal having at least a first and a second wavelength, cause the first wavelength of the optical signal to exit the first element at the first right surface, and cause rest of the optical signal to be reflected back into the first element, pass through the first top surface and the second bottom surface, and enter the second element. A method of making the WDM devices is also provided.

摘要: The present invention is directed generally to electric lighting, and more particularly to a light emitting diode (LED) candle bulb and LED candle light. More particularly, the present invention relates to a candle light assembly comprising: a bulb enclosing a volume and having an opening at a longitudinal end, wherein the opening has an interior circumference which is threaded; a heat sink base with an opening at a longitudinal end, wherein the opening has an interior circumference which is threaded; a connector for securing the bulb to the heat sink base, which has an upper exterior threaded portion for communicating with the threaded bulb and a lower exterior threaded portion for communicating with the threaded base; and an optics assembly comprising an LED, a lens, and a drive circuit for operating the LED. The LED candle lights according to embodiments of the invention can provide bright lighting similar to that of traditional incandescent candle light without overheating.

摘要: An acknowledgement technique reduces packet-switched communication delays. The technique may be implemented in a mobile communication device with multiple SIMs. The technique facilitates enhanced communication capability for the mobile communication device. In one implementation, the technique helps reduce delays caused by switching between packet-switched and circuit-switched communications. Specifically, in one aspect, the technique reduces delays caused by exponential backoff that may occur during suspension of a packet-switched communication.
