An image forming method and apparatus and a process cartridge using the photoreceptor are also provided.

Accordingly, provided is a latent electrostatic image bearing member that comprises a support and at least a photosensitive layer and a crosslinked surface layer disposed on the support, wherein the crosslinked surface layer comprises a reactant from radical polymerizable compounds having three or more functionalities with no charge transport structure and radical polymerizable compounds having one functionality with charge transport structure, and at least two different antioxidants.

The intermediate layer and the photoconductive layer are provided over the conductive support in the order of reciting. An elastic power (We/Wt value) of the intermediate layer is greater than or equal to 20.0% but less than 35.0%. A Martens hardness (HM) of the intermediate layer is greater than or equal to 350 [N/mm2] but less than 450 [N/mm2].
