摘要: An optical scanning apparatus includes M number of light sources that includes M number of semiconductor lasers and M number of coupling lenses, where M is a positive integer, a deflecting scanning unit that deflects laser beams from the light sources to a surface to be scanned, and a transmission-type prism that deflects optical path of the laser beam from at least one of the light sources by an infinitesimal amount of angle. The prism is disposed between the light sources and the deflecting scanning unit, has an incident surface and an output surface nonparallel to each other, and can rotate around an axis of rotation substantially parallel to the optical path of the laser beam.

摘要: A sense amplifier according to an example of the present invention has first, second, third and fourth FETs with a flip-flop connection. A drain of a fifth FET is connected to a first input node, and its source is connected to a power source node. A drain of a sixth FET is connected to a second input node, and its source is connected to the power source node. A sense operation is started by charging a first output node from the first input node with a first current and by charging a second output node from the second input node with a second current. The fifth and sixth FET are turned on after starting the sense operation.

摘要: When a tunable laser is operating at any one of the different wavelengths, wavelength data is sampled and stored in a memory device. In the case where the same operating wavelength as a wavelength hitherto operated needs to be reset to the tunable laser, the wavelength data stored in the memory device is set to the tunable laser. This makes it possible to avoid a shift in wavelength due to age degradation of the tunable laser that selectively outputs any one of light signals of different wavelengths in dependence on the wavelength data set to the tunable laser.

摘要: Image data is displayed on an image display unit. An information input unit specifies a characteristic extracting range corresponding to the image data. An image-characteristic extracting unit extracts a representative characteristic from the specified range within the image data. The extracted representative characteristic are associated with the image data and stored in a storage device. The representative characteristic associated with the image data are also retrieved when retrieving the image data.

摘要: A mobile communication system is constructed including a plurality of cluster heads, cluster members, a topology management device, and a location management device. Each cluster head exchanges routing information with only each cluster member in a cluster to which the terminal itself (host terminal) belongs, and with only a cluster head in another cluster adjacent to the cluster to which the host terminal belongs. Each cluster member exchanges routing information with only a cluster head in a cluster to which the host terminal belongs. The topology management device and location management device receive the routing information from each cluster head only.

摘要: There is provided wheel speed detection means for detecting a wheel speed V based on a pulse signal corresponding to a rotational speed of a wheel, driving torque integration means calculates an integral value TINdt of driving torque TIN generated by the engine, and running situation determination means determines a vehicle running situation based on an actual wheel speed V and the integral value TINdt of the driving torque TIN. That is, the running situation determination means appropriately determines the vehicle running situation by comparing the actual wheel speed V which varies according to the vehicle running situation, and the function f (TINdt) even when the actual wheel speed is in the extremely low speed region. The function f (TINdt) is the function of the integral value TINdt of the driving torque TIN, and is also the function of the estimated wheel speed VP that is estimated based on the integral value TINdt of the driving torque TIN.
