For example, a Network Repository Function (“NRF”) may maintain location information for the various NF instances and may respond to discovery requests by identifying particular NF instances based on locations associated with the discovery requests. For example, such discovery requests may include a “preferred-locality” parameter or some other indication of location associated with the discovery request, based on which the NRF may identify one or more NF instances to provide in response to the discovery request.

摘要: Systems and method are provided to reduce redundant data transfers for service profiles within a wireless core network. A network device in the core network receives, from a mobility management entity (MME), a user profile request. The user profile request includes a user identifier for an end device. The network device determines that a user profile corresponding to the user identifier includes a shared service profile and determines, when the user profile includes a shared service profile, whether the MME has stored the shared service profile. When the MME has not stored the shared service profile, the network device sends, to the MME, the shared service profile and a shared profile identifier for the shared service profile. The network device sends, to the MME, a response to the user profile request, the response including the user identifier and the shared profile identifier for the shared service profile.

摘要: A Next Generation network device receives, from a user equipment device (UE), a Service Request for establishing a Multimedia Priority Services (MPS) session. The Next Generation network device determines whether the Service Request includes a MPS fallback request to request network fallback from a Next Generation network to a Fourth Generation (4G) network for the MPS session. The device causes, based on the Service Request including the MPS fallback request, establishment of the MPS session from the UE device via the 4G network by performing one of: a handover procedure from the Next Generation network to the 4G network, or a Radio Resource Control (RRC) redirection procedure from the Next Generation network to the 4G network.
