    摘要: An ink delivery arrangement includes a silicon substrate that defines a plurality of ink inlet channels. A CMOS drive circuitry layer is arranged on the silicon substrate. A plurality of nozzle arrangements is positioned on the silicon substrate to be in fluid communication with respective ink inlet channels. Each nozzle arrangement includes an annular nozzle wall about a respective ink inlet channel. A nozzle roof is on the nozzle wall so that the wall and roof define a nozzle chamber, the roof being movable with respect to the wall. A nozzle rim is defined by the nozzle roof so that ink can be ejected from the nozzle chamber when the roof is moved with respect to the wall. An electrically actuated beam is fast with the substrate to receive current from the drive circuitry layer and is connected to the nozzle roof to move the nozzle roof when actuated by the current.

    摘要: A printer is provided having a pagewidth printhead assembly and a capping mechanism. The printhead assembly has a single pagewidth printhead and a plurality of nozzles located along the printhead and arranged in use to deliver ink onto print media as it is transported past the printhead. The capping mechanism has a capping member having a length corresponding substantially to that of the printhead and located in a non-capping first position spaced-apart from the printhead, and an actuating mechanism arranged to move the printhead between a first and second printhead positions and to move the capping member along an arcuate path from the first position to a second position at which the capping member is located in nozzle capping engagement with the printhead when the printhead is at the second printhead position.

    摘要: An ink priming arrangement for an inkjet printhead is provided which has an ink bag containing ink for distribution to nozzles of the printhead via a fluid path between the ink bag and nozzles, a force applicator arranged to apply inwardly directed force on at least one exterior wall of the ink bag to reduce an available fluid volume of the ink bag, thereby causing ink to flow from the ink bag to the nozzles along the fluid path, and a biasing member arranged in the ink bag to apply outwardly directed force on at least one interior wall of the ink bag so as to restrain the reduction of available fluid volume of the ink bag. The biasing member applies the outward force only once the available fluid volume has been reduced to a predetermined volume. Each nozzle ejects an ink drop having a volume of about 1.2 picolitres.
