Abstract: Plates and plate assemblies for noise attenuators and other devices and methods of making the same are described herein. An example disc-shaped plate described herein includes a plurality of sector-shaped plates that have openings defining flow paths. Each of the plurality of sector-shaped plates has a first radial edge forming a first mating feature and a second radial edge forming a second mating feature that is complementary to the first mating feature such that, when the plurality of sector-shaped plates are arranged together, the first mating feature of each of the plurality of sector-shaped plates mates with the second mating feature of an adjacent one of the plurality of sector-shaped plates.

Abstract: A fluid regulating device includes a valve having an inlet and an outlet and an actuator coupled to the valve and having a control assembly. The control assembly includes a control element and a diaphragm operably connected to the control element, the control element disposed within the valve and adapted to be displaced relative to a valve seat. A noise attenuation assembly is coupled to the outlet of the valve and includes a cylindrical body and at least one plate disposed in the cylindrical body, the at least one plate having an outer edge. An apparatus for retaining the noise attenuation assembly includes a plurality of rods coupled to the at least one plate. The plurality of rods includes at least one rod having a first end disposed through the outer edge of the at least one plate to support the noise attenuation assembly.

Abstract: A body of a fluid control apparatus includes an inlet, an outlet, and a fluid flow path connecting the inlet and the outlet. A first flange surrounds the inlet and a second flange surrounds the outlet. A bore is sized to receive a control stem and a control element. An inner wall includes an outside surface, an inside surface, an area surrounding the bore, an area sized to receive a valve seat, an area surrounding the inlet, an area surrounding the outlet, and an area defining the fluid flow path. A three-dimensional lattice structure is attached to the inner wall. The lattice structure includes a plurality of connected lattice members and is integrally formed with the inner wall.

Abstract: A fluid control device has a body, actuator, and slam-shut device. The body defines an inlet, an outlet, and a plurality of slam-shut openings, and a seat is positioned along a flow path between the inlet and outlet. The actuator is configured to modulate a position of a first control element relative to a first side of the seat along an actuation axis to control a fluid pressure. The slam-shut device has a second control element that is movable along the actuation axis and is biased toward a second side of the seat and a slam-shut actuator configured to trigger the second control element to move to the closed position in which the second control element contacts the second side of the seat. The slam-shut actuator includes a shaft and the slam-shut actuator and shaft are positionable in any one of the plurality of slam-shut openings in different configurations.

Abstract: Fluid regulators are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a vale body, a valve seat, and protrusions. The valve body has an inlet and an outlet. The valve seat is located within the valve body and is positioned between the inlet and the outlet. The protrusions are formed by and extend along an inner wall of the valve body between the valve seat and the outlet, and end adjacent the outlet. At least one of the protrusions is spaced relative to others of the protrusions. The protrusions are to increase a uniformity of a flow pattern of fluid flowing through a cross-section of the outlet. Each of the protrusions has a central axis oriented perpendicularly to a corresponding surrounding portion of the inner wall.

Abstract: Spring seat vibration damper apparatus for use with fluid pressure regulators are disclosed. A disclosed apparatus includes a first spring seat of a fluid pressure regulator defining a first protrusion and a second spring seat of the fluid pressure regulator defining a second protrusion. The second protrusion is configured to receive at least a portion of the first protrusion. The first spring seat moves relative to the second spring seat to provide a damping effect between the protrusions.

The second cage moves with the diaphragm and is positionable on a first side of the diaphragm, opposite the first cage, or on a second side of the diaphragm such that the second cage is positioned within the first cage and is movable relative to the first cage.

Abstract: An internal valve includes a valve stem disposed in a valve body, a poppet valve coupled to the stem, and a bleed valve coupled to the stem. The valve stem is shiftable from a first position in which the poppet valve and the bleed valve are closed, to a second position in which the bleed valve is open, and a third position in which the bleed valve is closed and the poppet valve is open, and the poppet may close in response to a pressure change. The internal valve includes a strainer having an extended portion to be positioned in a clearance space between an upper portion of the valve body and an opening of a fluid container. The strainer is arranged for securement to a mounting area of the valve body by at least one fastener.
