摘要： A double-sided tangential cutting insert, as well as a tool holder system that carries a plurality of the double-sided tangential cutting inserts, that has a peripheral side shape, as viewed from one of said cutting rake faces, that includes a pair of generally identical opposing main cutting edges wherein each of the main cutting edge comprises a substantially straight main cutting edge portion and an adjoining convex main cutting edge portion. The convex main cutting edge portion is truncated by an adjacent convex minor side face so as to define a generally sharp edge and a point of truncation. The peripheral side shape further includes a pair of opposing full nose cutting edges with a nose cutting radius; and a pair of opposing convex minor cutting edges with a minor cutting edge radius. The minor cutting edge radius is at least about four times greater than the nose cutting radius.

Finally, an orifice is made at the bottom of the blind hole and extends through the material of the expansion bush into a tool reception space which is delimited in the expansion bush.

摘要： A rotary cutting tool, such as a slotting cutter, includes a cutter body rotatable in a predetermined direction on a central axis perpendicular to a plane of the cutter body. A plurality of cutting insert-receiving pockets are formed at predetermined locations about the cutter body. A cantilevered member can be integrally formed in the cutter body or attached to the cutter body as a separate component. A tip of the cantilevered member at least partially extends into each insert-receiving pocket such that the cantilevered member exerts a biasing force against a cutting insert at a location so as to counteract a tendency of the cutting insert to rotate within the insert-receiving pocket during a cutting operation.

An entrance seal assembly is in the entrance seal assembly pocket wherein the entrance seal assembly comprises an entrance seal sandwiched by a pair of thermoplastic polyester elastomeric rings.
