Abstract:
A preservation article for the preservation of an archival article, wherein the preservation article includes a molecular sieve which is organophilic, hydrophobic or acid-resistant. A method of preserving an archival article which involves providing a preservation article in proximity to an archival article, wherein the preservation article includes a molecular sieve which is organophilic, hydrophobic or acid-resistant. The preservation article may be coated on or incorporated into a container, a packaging material, a support for an archival article or the archival article itself.
Abstract:
This invention relates to an open topped box file which includes a rectangular base, side walls which are connected to the base, a hinge arrangement on the base which enables the side walls to be moved away from each other and bridge elements which extend between the ends of the side walls with the bridge elements being extensible to enable the side walls to be moved away from each other.
Abstract:
A container for holding a plurality of magazines, includes a first side wall having a first bottom edge, a first rear edge, a first top edge and a first front edge; a second side wall having a second bottom edge, a second rear edge, a second top edge and a second front edge; a bottom wall connecting the first and second bottom edges of the first and second side walls together; a rear wall connecting the first and second rear edges of the first and second side walls together; the bottom wall and the rear wall maintaining the first and second side walls in substantially parallel, spaced apart relation; the first and second top edges of the first and second side walls being unconnected with each other; and the first and second front edges of the first and second side walls being unconnected with each other; wherein side walls of a first such container fits within side walls of a second such container with a friction fit.
Abstract:
An all-plastic desk top vertical file or stand easily user assembled from planar panels that lock together with either snap-in integral barb or lateral tongue and slot connections without the use of any tools.
Abstract:
Box formed from a folded blank, in particular for document filing. The box has a bottom, two side walls and at least one end side wall and has means for keeping the box erected, i.e. maintain the general shape of the box when folded for use and prevent its collapse. The box may have a bottom with, on the interior side, a pair of slotted flaps adapted to engage, within the box, a separator with a pair of lugs adapted to be engaged by a pair of slots. The box may have also an inwardly folded tab having laterally directed tongues retained between foldlines of the sidewalls and end side wall. The tab can be used for gripping below supporting rails.
Abstract:
A lateral filing system comprising a file box fashioned from a folding blank with holding means projecting beyond the back part of said box and fixed rails to hold the file boxes. The holding means are formed by a tongue cut free from said blank that is folded in a double-layer manner. Said tongue fits behind an upper web of a Z-shaped rail while the lower part of the box rests on a lower web of a parallelly arranged similar rail. A supporting flap extending from a sidewall of the filing box is designed to press the inserted documents against one sidewall. The invention assures simple fabrication from a single material blank without any additional parts and provides for high stability and an easy box assembly shortly before use.
