Abstract: A conveyor apparatus (10) for folding boxes (1) in a boxing machine has conveyor chains (11 to 14). The conveyor chains (11 to 14) are respectively supported in pairs in a guide rail (22, 23). The conveyor chains (11 to 14) have pusher lugs (18, 19) attached to them, between which the folding boxes (1) are contained in a positively engaging fashion. In order to permit a simple adjustment of the conveyor apparatus (10) with regard to different folding box widths and folding box lengths, the conveyor chains (11 to 14) are respectively coupled to cross sectionally polygonal shafts (41, 44). Abstract: A conveyor belt is made up of plastic links that are capable of traversing a radiused or curved path. The links are provided with a cover member, such as a plate. Articles to be conveyed are put on top of the plates. The links are interconnected together so as to reduce the exposure of gaps between the links. Each link has a slot on the ends, with the slot receiving a guiderail or track. Each slot has a convex inside surface which contacts the guiderail. The belt is supported by side frames, which side frames have lips that form the tracks. Each side frame has an upper lip and a lower lip. Thus, the side frames can support and guide both an upper portion of the conveyor belt as well as a lower portion of the conveyor belt in a self contained assembly. The side frames are coupled together by cross beams to provide the support, as well as provide a path of the tracks. The side frames are coupled to vertical supports.

Abstract: A conveyor belt with advertising is fabricated by coating at least one flexible belting member with a vinyl size coating. A white base coat is applied over the vinyl size coating. A variety of printing processes may be used to print registered color separation images on the belting member. These processes include silkscreen, flexographic and offset printing. The belting members may be made in lengths shorter than the entire length of the conveyor belt with removable attachment means, permitting individual advertising images to be replaced without replacing the entire conveyor belt. Methods for fabricating the belting members including ink formulations, handling and drying steps are also described.
