Abstract:
The present invention relates to conveyor lubricant compositions including an emulsion of a lipophilic compound and also including an emulsifier and/or an anionic surfactant. The present invention also relates to methods employing such lubricant compositions. In an embodiment, the method includes applying the present lubricant composition to a conveyor with a non-energized nozzle.
Abstract:
A conveyor arrangement for conveying containers in a container treatment system, including a conveyor track, at least one conveyor element movably arranged on the conveyor track and used for conveying one or a plurality of containers, a conveyor element servicing device connected to the conveyor track, and an open-loop and/or closed-loop control unit, where the conveyor track and the conveyor element are configured such that the conveyor element can be guided along the conveyor track in an individually controllable manner by means of the open-loop and/or closed-loop control unit, and where the open-loop and/or closed-loop control unit is configured to supply the conveyor element to the servicing device depending on at least one state parameter of the conveyor element.
Abstract:
An exemplary embodiment is directed to a cantilevered screw assembly comprising a solid oil bearing to facilitate rotation of the screw. Another exemplary embodiment of a cantilevered screw assembly includes an improved anchor system comprising multiple load-bearing walls. In particular, an exemplary embodiment may comprise a screw that is cantilevered to at least two walls. At least one reinforcement member may connect the walls for additional support.

Abstract:
The present invention provides a conveyor belt rip detection system with belts having rip detection inserts that can be more easily integrated into conveyor belts at low cost. These rip detection inserts do not adversely affect the durability of the conveyor belt and can be easily replaced in the event of belt damage. This rip detection system also provides a highly reliable early image of belt damage that can facilitate quick repair before extensive belt damage occurs. The present invention more specifically discloses a conveyor belt comprising (1) an elastomeric body having a load carrying surface and a parallel pulley engaging surface; (2) a reinforcement ply disposed within the elastomeric body; and (3) a multitude of rip detection inserts, wherein the rip detection inserts are spaced along the longitudinal length of the conveyor belt, wherein the rip detection inserts contain a multitude of rip detection wires that are comprised of a magnetically permeable material, wherein the rip detection wires are aligned in the rip detection inserts at a bias angle of 15° to 75° from being perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the belt, and wherein the rip detection wires are spaced incrementally across the width of the belt.
Abstract:
A chain pin or pin element for connecting chain links together to form a section of a chain for conveying products along a conveyor line or path of a material handling system includes a shaft portion and a head portion at at least one end of the shaft portion. The shaft portion is received through respective chain links to define a joint of the section of chain, while the head portion or head portions retain the pin at the links. At least one head portion of at least some of the pins includes a reservoir and a channel formed therein. The reservoir is configured to receive a lubricating fluid, such as from a lubricating device of the material handling system, while the channel functions to distribute the lubricant from the reservoir and toward and onto the shaft portion of the pin to lubricate the joint of the chain.
Abstract:
A conveyor lubricating apparatus which includes a roller member to distribute a lubricant on a belt-type conveyor. In one embodiment, the lubricant is dispensed onto a roller which is employed to distribute the lubricant on the belt. In another embodiment, a combined dispensing and roller device distributes the lubricant on the conveyor belt.
Abstract:
The conveyor comprises a conveyor belt with which a lubricant dispensing device is associated. It also comprises a device for measuring a quantity proportional to the friction coefficient between the conveyor belt and the bottles and connected to control means for controlling said lubricant dispensing device in such a manner as to regulate the lubricant amount in order to maintain the measured quantity within a predetermined range. The lubrication regulating process for a conveyor belt of a conveyor for bottles or containers in general consists of measuring a quantity indicative of the friction coefficient between the conveyor belt and bottles and controlling the lubricant feed onto the conveyor belt such as to maintain this quantity within a predetermined range.
Abstract:
The passage of a container along a conveyor is lubricated by applying to the container or conveyor a lubricant composition comprising a water-miscible silicone material having a silicone emulsion wherein the silicone emulsion contains less than 500 ppm of a triethanolamine salts of alkyl benzene sulfonic acid compounds.
Abstract:
An installation for lubricating, cleaning and/or disinfecting conveyor belts for containers, more particularly for foods, such as bottles, glasses, cans, bags and the like, comprising a central metering station connectable to a water pipe used to dilute a concentrated lubricant, cleaner or disinfectant, and several distributing pipes connected to the metering station lead to the points of use. At each point of use there is a mixing valve (13-19) connectable to distribution line (52) and the water pipe (23) and individually adjustable for each point of use and a pressure reducer (50, 51) fitted upstream of each mixing valve. Varying concentration can be provided for each point of use (31-37) with little technical complexity. In another embodiment, the invention is the process carried out by the installation.
