Abstract:
The invention relates to a liquid formulation that stimulates the germination of seeds and the rooting of plants, including water-soluble addition compounds from the K vitamin group together with complexed microelements and essential amino acids, which acts by improving the metabolic processes that occur during the different stages in the development of treated plants, improving the appearance thereof, activating defence responses and promoting resistance to adverse conditions, both biotic and abiotic, thereby allowing harvest production and yields to be increased.
Abstract:
A method comprising: (a) enzymatically processing an O-acetylhomoserine (OAHS) fermentation liquor to produce L-methionine and an acetate source; (b) separating at least a portion of said L-methionine from at least a fraction of said acetate source to form separated L-methionine and a residual liquor comprising an acetate-source; and (c) recovering at least a portion of said acetate source from said residual liquor as recovered acetate.
Abstract:
Described are compositions and methods to increase bud break in order to increase aspects of one or both of plant vegetative and reproductive growth, by use of a natural metabolite. In particular, the present disclosure provides a natural metabolite either alone or as part of a fertilizer blend to increase crop production. Additionally the present disclosure provides a natural metabolite in combination with one or both of a plant growth regulator and a bio stimulant to increase crop production.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed tomethods for improving nodal root development, nodal root growth, yield, and standability of a cereal grain comprising applying an effective amount of at least one gibberellin to the cereal grain during the early vegetative growth stage.
Abstract:
A sugar beet extract (SBE) induced defense in potato plants under green-house conditions and in field trial, without apparent toxicity for the plant. Treatment with SBE resulted in significant reduction of the size of Phytophthora infestans infection lesions and lower sporangia production. SBE had no apparent toxic effect, neither on the hyphal growth of the pathogennor on the germination of sporangia. SBE triggered PR-1 protein induction which suggests that the defense mechanism conferred by SBE could be via direct induced resistance. An array of phenolic metabolites and minerals was found in the SBE and constitutes potential inducers of the defense.
Abstract:
A composition of matter having a powderized, tablet or dissolved in water solution having the following component compounds: Sodium Bicarbonate, Citric Acid, Sodium Lauryl Sulfonate, Polyethylene Glycol, Alkylbenzene Sulfonate, Boric Acid. The composition has several embodiments indicating various ranges for the compounds therein. Once liquefied the solution can be sprayed unto affected trees in order to provide nutritional benefits that may fight fungi, bacteria and viral pathogens that threaten the well being of plants as well as providing growth enhancing effects.
Abstract:
A metal component absorption enhancer which enhances the absorption of at least one metal component selected from the elements belonging to groups 2 to 12 in the third to fourth periods when a plant grows. The metal component absorption enhancer contains 5-aminolevulinic acid or a derivative thereof represented by the following general formula (1), or a salt thereof as an active ingredient: R2R1NCH2COCH2CH2COR3 (1) wherein R1 and R2 each independently represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an acyl group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, an aryl group, or an aralkyl group; R3 represents a hydroxyl group, an alkoxy group, an acyloxy group, an alkoxycarbonyloxy group, an aryloxy group, an aralkyloxy group, or an amino group, and is used for performing a treatment with 0.001 to 20 ppm of the 5-aminolevulinic acid, the derivative thereof, or the salt thereof per each time.
Abstract:
The present disclosure describes methods and compositions for reducing and/or preventing soil water repellency. Embodiments of methods of reducing soil water repellency (SWR) of the present disclosure include applying to an area of groundcover a composition including an effective amount of at least one isolated enzyme capable of degrading or altering organic matter associated with SWR, where the SWR of the area of groundcover is reduced after treatment with the enzyme composition.
Abstract:
A composition and method to mitigate plant autophagy and/or apoptosis of newly developing cells in plants grown under environmentally stressful growing conditions, such as high temperature. Exogenous application of a cytokinin, preferably kinetin, to either the roots or the foliage (i.e., flowers and leaves) of plants has been discovered to overcome, or at least substantially mitigate, autophagy when applied during or just prior to flowering. Experimental results indicate that high temperature-induced autophagy, and subsequent new cell apoptosis, is the result of a deficiency of cytokinin in the plant tissues. The application of low concentrations of potassium together with the cytokinin appears to provide a synergistic effect by amplifying the effect of the cytokinin to lessen autophagy and increase crop productivity.
Abstract:
