摘要: A location control mechanism includes a striker having a preferably spherically shaped lock ball and a pair of mutually adjacent socket rollers, each socket roller having a complementing preferably hemispherically shaped semi-socket which collectively provide a single preferably spherically shaped lock socket when the rollers are appropriately rotated relative to each other. The striker is connected to a first component and the socket rollers are rotatably mounted to a second component, wherein the first and second components are positionally located relative to each other by action of the lock ball being trapped in the lock socket formed when the socket rollers have been appropriately rotated.

摘要: A motor vehicle door lock arrangement for a double rear hatch having a lower hatch door which can be swung down and which is attached to lower edge (2) and an upper hatch door which can be folded up and which is attached to upper edge (4) of the body opening. Door lock mechanisms for each hatch door are located on each side edge (6, 7) of the body opening and closure blocks therefor are located on side edges (8, 9) of the hatch doors (3, 5). Each lock mechanism has a rotary latch and detent pawl for securing and releasing a respective closure block. Essentially independent opening of each hatch door is possible. Preferably, the lock mechanisms of lower hatch (13) and upper hatch (5) are combined into a single lock unit on a lock carrier at each side of the body opening.

摘要: Door lock and lock assemblies are useful, for example, in vehicle cabs. Latch and lock assemblies of known structures which can be unlocked from inside the cab while remaining locked from outside the cab require complex and bulky linkage assemblies. The subject door latch and lock assembly includes pivotal outer and inner actuator. The pivotal movement of the outer actuator simultaneously pivots the inner actuator to open a catch mechanism. Pivot movement of the inner actuator can be independent of the outer actuator. A locking lever can be pivoted to a locked position to prevent pivotal movement of the outer actuator. Pivotal movement of the inner actuator is not prevented by the locking lever. Thus, the disclosed door latch and lock assembly can be opened from inside the cab while remaining locked from outside the cab without requiring complex and bulky linkage assemblies.
