    Abstract: A locking system for a stop button employed in a mortise lock having a spindle for operating a latch utilizing a first spindle base and a second spindle base which are nested relative to one another. Each base includes an opening for the mortise lock spindle such that the spindle may enter the combined first and second bases from the left side or the right side. A locking hub overrides either the first or second base and is capable of selectively lying over either the first or second base. An abutment linked to the stop button interacts with the locking hub such that either the first or second base may not be turned by the spindle when this occurs. Locking hub selectively locks either the first or second base through its position relative to the same and allows the mortise lock to easily transform from a left-hand version to a right-hand version.

    Abstract: Safety lock for doors, gates or the like, comprising a box-shaped body (2) which contains and supports a bolt (5) able to slide between several operating positions (9, 10), actuating means (8) for displacing the bolt (5) between the above-mentioned position, a movable plate (15) capable of engaging by means of engaging means (17) inside seats (14) formed along the bolt (5) so as to retain it in the above-mentioned retracted and projecting positions. The lock (1) also has adjustment means (20) which are accessible from the outside of the box-shaped body (2) and are able to act on the movable plate (15) so as to engage it/disengage it with respect to the bolt (5) so as to allow the latter to be arranged with the part (5a) projecting by the desired length. The movable plate (15) is mounted rotatably on the box-shaped body (2) about an axis of rotation (Z) by means of a pin (19); with respect to which it is able to rotate as a result of the action of adjustment means (20).

    Abstract: A lock housing is provided for mounting upon or in a door, but which may also be mounted upon or in a door frame. Latch and bolt bars disposed in side-by-side relation are supported from the housing for lengthwise extension and retraction relative thereto. A locking pawl is mounted on a shaft oscillatably supported in the housing and extending transversely of the inner ends of the latch and bolt bars and the pawl is swingable into and out of position behind the inner ends of the bars when the latter are in their extended positions. A first pair of solenoids are selectively operative on 12 volt D.C. and 110 or 12 volt A.C. current to shift the shaft to a position with the pawl in an unlocked position and the third solenoid is operative to shift the shaft to a position with the locking pawl in the locked position. Further, a doorknob construction is rotatably received through the housing and includes an operator mounted thereon for rotation therewith by means of a slip clutch for manually shifting the bolt and latch bars between their locked and unlocked positions, the latch bar being spring-biased toward its locked position.
