    摘要: A hydraulic bushing having at least two chambers and at least one channel connecting the chambers. The bushing is made of a high durometer rubber or other polymer to increase durability. The bushing further includes a center bearing press fit in the center of the annular bushing. The bushing is further press fit into an annular seal operable to seal the fluid within the chambers and channels. The bearing, bushing, and seal assembly is then press fit into a bracket which is subsequently mounted to the vehicle. The center bearing is operable to hold the prop shaft wherein the center bearing is free to rotate within the bushing thereby allowing the prop shaft to rotate.

    摘要: A tunable damper for a torque transferring assembly having a tubular shaft including an inner surface defining an elongated cavity includes an input channeling portion and an output channeling portion, wherein each channeling portion is formed from a first predetermined foam material having a first density and a diameter sufficient for providing a resilient bias force against the inner surface of the tubular shaft. The tunable damper further includes at least one absorber formed from a second predetermined foam material having a second density different from the first predetermined foam material and first density, respectively. The at least one absorber is positioned between the input and output channeling portions for attenuating a first predetermined range of frequencies of noise produced or transmitted by the torque transferring assembly.

    摘要: A support device of a propeller shaft comprises an annular bracket fixed to a floor member of a vehicle body; an annular elastic member disposed in the annular bracket; an annular supporting structure disposed in the annular elastic member and rotatably supporting a cylindrical given portion of the propeller shaft through a ball bearing unit; and an annular seal member intimately disposed in an annular space defined between the annular supporting structure and the cylindrical given portion of the propeller shaft. One of outer and inner cylindrical surfaces of the annular seal member is in slidable contact with either one of an inner cylindrical surface of the annular supporting structure and an outer cylindrical surface of the cylindrical given portion of the propeller shaft. A rust-proofing member is further provided, which is disposed on either one of the inner cylindrical surface of the annular supporting structure and the outer cylindrical surface of the cylindrical given portion of the propeller shaft, to which the outer or inner cylindrical surface of the annular seal member directly and slidably contacts. The rust-proofing member is made of a rust-resistant material.

The shaft assembly can have a hollow shaft member and at least one liner. The liner has a mass and a stiffness that are tuned such that the liner is a tuned resistive absorber for attenuating shell mode vibrations as well as at least one of a tuned reactive absorber for attenuating bending mode vibrations and a tuned reactive absorber for attenuating torsion mode vibrations. The tuned liner is inserted into the shaft member.

    摘要: A damper insert for assembly in a tubular drive shaft of a motor vehicle includes a tubular sleeve, a helically wound, resiliently deformable wiper secured to the sleeve, and a corrugated winding secured to the sleeve. The wiper includes an arch that spans mutually spaced supports. The damper insert is sized to fit in the bore of the drive shaft such that the arch frictionally engages the surface of the bore and secures the insert in place within the shaft with a resilient press fit. The arch projects radially outward toward the bore beyond the radially outer surface of the winding.
