This invention is a shaped explosive device with a liner that produces a single combination jet consisting of a forward rod portion and rearward flattened spade shaped portion, this jet has a velocity gradient form tip to tail. The jet produced by the shaped charge is axisymmetric for the forward rod portion and planar symmetric for the aft wide spade portion somewhat like linear shaped charge, thusly termed the “Axi-Linear” shaped charge. The forward rod portion of each jet erodes a round hole in the target followed by the aft flattened spade portion of the jet creating a long slotted deep cavity centered on the round hole and in the lateral direction of the spade jet.

Disclosed herein are systems and devices that aid in reducing particulate emissions from biomass stoves, for example by the use of gases injected in or near the oxidation zone of a combustion chamber. Also disclosed are systems and devices providing electricity to a pump or blower that aids in injecting the gas and/or collecting exhaust gases. In some embodiments the device providing electricity is a thermoelectric generator that may also be used to power other devices. In many embodiments, the systems and devices inject a gas at or near the oxidation zone in the combustion chamber of a biomass stove. The gas injected into the zone may be fresh air, exhaust from combustion or combinations thereof. The gas can be forced into the to combustion chamber with the aid of a pump or blower that may also aid in drawing in exhaust gas.

The present invention relates to a non-catalytic biomass burner that may be used to burn a variety of fuel types at high efficiencies. The burner may include a cylindrical combustion chamber with an auxiliary igniter to heat the fuel in the combustion chamber until desirable combustion temperatures are reached. Fuel may be added to the chamber via a fuel feed assembly, and the rate of fuel addition to the chamber by the fuel feed assembly may be controlled by a computer. A fan located on the distal side of a flue pipe from the chamber may also be provided that pulls air into the chamber through one or more air inlets that are designed to encourage cyclonic air and exhaust flow in the chamber. Methods are further provided for controlling the manner of operation of the burner by a computer that may be instructed by a computer program code.

A wood pellet stove for efficiently burning wood pellets and especially burning pellets at low burns. The stove is accurately controlled by a control panel with a microprocessor which helps safely regulate air flow from a combustion air and exhaust gas fan. Also, the microprocessor helps control convection air flow from a convection air fan and regulate feed of wood pellets into a burn pot using a motorized auger. The microprocessor is further used to monitor inlet air temperature and exhaust gas temperature. The stove includes a stove housing with a fire box and a fire box access door in the front of the housing. The burn pot includes a burn grate and pit used for receiving and burning wood pellets. The burn pot is disposed on a fire box floor. A wood pellet hopper is disposed in the rear of the housing for holding wood pellets therein. The motorized auger is used for feeding the wood pellets into the burn pot. The stove is characterized by having heat exchanger panels with dimpled surfaces which can easily be removed for cleaning. The dimpled panels are attached to the fire box walls with a space therebetween for forming air and exhaust gas channels. Combustion air and exhaust gases are circulated from the fire box, using an exhaust fan, up a front side of the panels and into the air and exhaust gas channels behind the panels for effectively extracting generated heat from the air and exhaust gases.

A flue gas blower is arranged between the combustion chamber and a flue gas line. A flue gas channel is arranged in front of at least one rear wall of the combustion chamber on the side facing away from the combustion chamber. This channel extends over at least part of a width and a height of the combustion chamber. At the upper end region of the flue gas channel, which region faces a cover plate, the combustion chamber is connected with at least one opening connecting this channel with the combustion chamber, and in the opposite end region, which region faces a base plate, it is connected with a flue gas outlet, preferably with the involvement of a flue gas blower, via at least one suction opening. A heat exchanger is arranged in the flue gas channel, with fresh air flowing through it in a manner which is countercurrent to the flow direction of a flue gas.
