    摘要: A stove for indoor use includes a housing having a bottom wall, a top wall and one or more side walls defining a combustion chamber adapted to retain a fire, and an air supply system for supplying air to the combustion chamber. The air supply system includes a primary air conduit for supplying air to the combustion chamber from below through the bottom wall and a secondary air conduit for supplying air to the combustion chamber from above. A valve is arranged in the primary air conduit or in a branching between the primary and secondary air conduits. The valve is controlled by a bimetal whereby the valve is in a maximum open position when the prevailing temperature is below a first predetermined temperature during start-up of a fire and in a maximum closed position when the prevailing temperature is above a second predetermined temperature after start-up of the fire.

    摘要: An improved fire grate may provide fresh oxygen rich air to a secondary combustion zone, created by the improved fire grate, of a combustion chamber where a combustion gas stream is typically oxygen starved assisting in the burning process of incompletely burned particulates and reducing other harmful emissions. A baffle plate may be introduced in the secondary combustion zone to increase a combustion chamber temperature, encourage mixing of oxygen starved air with oxygen rich air and increase a residence time of the combustion gas within the combustion chamber. These aspects of the baffle plate promote more efficient burning of the biomass/fuel. Additionally, log lighter(s) may be disposed in the secondary combustion zone to increase a temperature of the combustion chamber for the purposes of reducing harmful emissions. The improved fire grate may be horizontally and vertically adjusted to fit within different sized fireplace combustion chambers.

The system (10) includes a valve (14) connected to a burner (12). A receiver (18) is electrically connected to the valve (14) and provides the valve (14) with the control signal (16). A controller (20) has a control transmitter (24) in wireless communication with the receiver (18) to transmit the control signal (16) to the receiver (18) at a speed of light. The controller (20) further includes a validation transmitter (26) to transmit a validation signal (22) to the receiver (18) at a speed of sound. The valve (14) is enabled by the control signal (16) if a time delay between the receiver (18) receiving the control signal (16) and the validation signal (22) is shorter than a maximum delay period. The control signal (16) is discarded if the time delay is longer than the maximum delay period.

    摘要: A solid fuel burner and method uses a low oxygen concentration gas as a transporting gas for a low grade solid fuel such as brown coal or the like, provides for accelerating ignition of the fuel and for preventing slugging caused by combustion ash. Mixing of fuel and air inside a fuel nozzle 11 is accelerated by an additional air nozzle 12 and a separator 35 for separating a flow passage, arranged in the fuel nozzle 11, and an exit of the additional air nozzle 12 is set at a position that overlaps with the separator 35. Additional air is ejected in a direction nearly perpendicular to a flow direction of a fuel jet flowing through the fuel nozzle 11. The amount of air from the additional air nozzle 12 is varied corresponding to a combustion load, in order to assure stable burning of the fuel, and, to suppress radiant heat received by structures of the solid fuel burner and walls of the furnace.

    摘要: A multi-functional fireplace includes a housing for a removable firebox, a multiple burner assembly, a heat exchanger, a ventilator, an air conditioner, and an air exchanger/heat recovery unit. The firebox is removable by various ways from the housing allowing easy access to the internal contents of the fireplace. The multiple burner assembly can be a double burner assembly. One burner is an ambience burner for providing a decorative flame within the firebox and the other burner is the principal heating burner and can be positioned within or outside of the fireplace. A controller may also be linked to the various components of the fireplace to receive data therefrom and for control thereof. A sensor linked to the control can be placed at a heat outlet in order for the controller to detect temperature and accelerate the ventilator if need be. A bypass is also used to avoid cool air from the air conditioner from heating up when the decorative flame is lit.
