摘要: In cutting four edges of a recording medium, the recording medium is fed to a first cutting position, and two front side edges of the recording medium in a feed direction of the recording medium is cut while feeding the recording medium. The recording medium is further fed to the first cutting portion and two rear side edges of the recording medium is cut while feeding the recording medium. The recording medium is fed to a second cutting position, and one of a leading edge and a trailing edge of the recording medium in the feed direction is cut while the recording medium is stationary, and the recording medium is further fed to the second cutting position and the other of the leading edge and the trailing edge is cut while the recording medium is stationary. One of the leading edge and the trailing edge is cut between cutting of the front side edges and cutting of the rear side edges.

摘要: A photographic camera system includes a photographic camera that can successively expose a photographic film in different frame sizes and an automatic printer for automatically printing the processed photographic film exposed with those different frame sizes. The camera varies the width of an exposure opening in the camera body in the film-feed direction and the film is fed a length corresponding to the width of the exposure opening. The photographic camera records an exposure opening position signal indicative of the size of the exposure opening on the photographic film, and the automatic printer automatically prints the photographic film using the exposure opening position signal detected from the photographic film.

摘要: A photographic and video image system for transforming an image on a frame of a photographic film includes a structure in the overall form of a photographic printer having an image transformation element that transforms an optical image from the film into a video signal, a frame position indicator, which can be a hole or an optical or magnetic signal, is recorded on the film along with aspect information relating to the size of the frame exposed on the film. The frame position indicator and aspect information are detected and used to control a film feeding operation and the optical image to video signal transformation operation. The user of the system can record order information on the film that is used to specify the aspect of the resultant photographic print, as well as the quantity of prints to be made. Such order information can be superimposed as a menu on a displayed video signal at the time the video signal is reviewed prior to producing a photographic print.

摘要: A printing apparatus includes a media supply section and a media take-up section. Each section is capable of accepting a plurality of cassettes. On the supply section side, the cassettes can contain a roll of photosensitive material that is to be processed through a printing section. The cassettes on the take-up sections are initially empty and are designed to receive the web of photosensitive material after the web has been conveyed through the printing section. The cassettes can be provided at a plurality of locations and can be angularly positioned with respect to each other. A single transport assembly can be provided at each of the supply section and take-up section, and can be rotatable about a rotatable point so as to accept or discharge media to each of the appropriate cassettes. A splicer is provided on the transport assembly in the supply section, for splicing the end of the material from an empty cassette, and is also rotatable with the transport assembly. In a feature of the present invention, the material can undergo a vertical twist, which results from the pivoting of the paper path by way of the transport assembly.
