    摘要: A sealant for a one drop fill process is characterized by curing through two steps consisting of photocure using visible light from which 400 nm or shorter wavelengths are cut off and thermal cure and, when in contact with a liquid crystal composition, is less contaminating to the liquid crystal composition with a photo radical initiator, and exhibits high adhesive strength to a substrate. The sealant contains (1) a titanocene photo radical initiator, (2) a photocuring resin, (3) a latent epoxy curing agent and, if necessary, (4) a monomer having at least two glycidyl ether groups per molecule as a thermosetting resin.

More specifically, the present invention relates to a polarizing plate with improved light leakage phenomenon in accordance with bend of liquid crystal panels, characterized in that as slid distances of pressure-sensitive adhesives on the polarizing plate having the pressure-sensitive adhesive layer formed thereon and bonded to a glass plate with a contact area of 1 cm×1 cm at the time of applying a load of 1,000 gf at room temperature (25° C.) for 1,000 seconds, the difference between the slid distance X1 of pressure-sensitive adhesive for the upper polarizing plate and the slid distance X2 of pressure-sensitive adhesive for the lower polarizing plate is 50 to 500 μm.

    摘要: A polarizing plate has a polarizer and a protective film formed on at least one surface of the polarizer. The protective film is formed by curing an energy ray-curable composition that contains at least one of a first energy ray-polymerizing compound having a bisphenol residue, a second energy ray-polymerizing compound having a neopentylglycol group, a third energy ray-polymerizing compound having a trimethylolpropane group, and a fourth energy ray-polymerizing compound having a pentaerythritol group. In the polarizing plate, though the protective film is thin, the polarizer is protected from the influence of external moisture, etc., and therefore its polarizability is kept good even in high-temperature high-humidity environments.
