    Abstract: The present invention relates to an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, and more precisely, an acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive composition which is prepared by copolymerization of a vinyl and/or acrylic monomer having a cross-linkable functional group and comprises 100 weight part of a high molecular weight (meth)acrylic copolymer which is prepared by copolymerization of a vinyl and/or acrylic monomer harboring a cross-linkable functional group and whose weight average molecular weight is 40˜100 times as high as the entanglement molecular weight, 5˜50 weight part of a low molecular weight (meth)acrylic copolymer which does not contain a cross-linkable functional group and whose weight average molecular weight is 2˜15 times as high as entanglement molecular weight, and 0.01˜10 weight part of a multifunctional cross-linking agent. The acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive composition of the present invention has reliable adhesion durability under high temperature and high humidity and at the same time reduces the light leakage due to the stress relaxation and enhances the cutting-efficiency of a polarizing plate.

    Abstract: According to the present invention, an adhesive film having a phase-difference is characterized by a phase difference value of 25° C./55% RH at a thickness of 20 μm being approximately 20 nm to approximately 150 nm, and 1 rad/s storage modulus by a frequency seep test at 30° C. being approximately 105 dyne/cm2 to approximately 109 dyne/cm2. The adhesive film having a phase-difference exhibits minimal entangling and retains a stretched structure under high temperature and humidity so as to provide an optical member that has decreased light leakage, retains superior durability, reworkability, and adhesion, and has an excellent balance of physical properties.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, and a polarizer and a liquid crystal display (LCD) device using the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition, and more particularly, to a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition including (A) an acrylic copolymer and (B) a liquid optically-anisotropic compound having a mesogen core in its structure. The liquid optically-anisotropic compound having a mesogen core in its structure according to the present invention has superior solubility and compatibility with pressure-sensitive adhesive resin, and thus the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition including the liquid optically-anisotropic compound can relax stress caused by shrinkage of the polarizer and effectively compensate negative birefringence. Therefore, the polarizer and the LCD device using the pressure-sensitive adhesive composition can prevent light leakage originating from stress concentration in spite of long-term use.
