摘要: A suspension work platform hoist system having reduced reactive power to produce a hoist system power factor of at least 0.95 when operating at a steady state full-load condition as the motor raises the work platform. The hoist system power factor takes into account all the power consuming devices of the suspension work platform hoist system as well as a suspended conductor system that connects the constant frequency input power source to the hoist, which is often in excess of several hundred feet. The hoist system power factor may be achieved by incorporating a reactive power reducing input power system into the suspension work platform hoist system. The reactive power reducing input power system decreases the magnitude of the reactive power of the motor producing a high hoist system power. The reactive power reducing input power system may include an AC-DC converter and a regulator system in electrical communication with a DC-AC inverter that is in electrical communication with the motor.

摘要: Methods and devices for rescuing an elevator cab occupant. An emergency escape system can be integrated or retrofitted with an elevator. The emergency escape system includes an interposing device configured to attach to the elevator cab and to lower the elevator cab in an intelligent manner in the event of an emergency. The elevator cab may include an emergency cable that attaches the elevator cab to the interposing device and can be used either manually or automatically to lower the elevator cab during an emergency. The emergency escape system may include a thermal information system device, or sensors, which may provide real time environmental conditions of the dwelling and of the elevator occupants that can be communicated to first responders via a wireless protocol. In the event of building power loss, the cab power and the ability to communicate with the outside world may be unaffected. The emergency escape system may be thermally fortified. The emergency escape system may further include a rescue housing that may ascend and descend.

摘要: There is provided a control device for an elevator capable of quickly calculating an exact inertia according to an operation mode of elevator considering whether the operation mode of elevator is a power running operation or a generative running operation, and having good followability. In a control device for an elevator including a speed command inputting unit for sending a speed command to a power unit; a speed detector for detecting the actual speed of the power unit; and a torque controller for calculating a necessary torque based on the speed command and the actual speed, and sending a torque signal to drive the power unit, there are further included an initial parameter setting unit for setting the initial value of parameter of the torque controller in advance; an operation mode judging unit for judging whether the operation mode of power unit is a power running mode or a generative running mode; an inertia calculating unit for calculating the actual inertia value based on the speed command, the actual speed, and the torque signal, and the operation mode; and a parameter correcting unit for correcting the parameter of the torque controller by using the actual inertia value.

摘要: An elevator drive assembly (30) includes a voltage regulator (40) that selectively introduces current under certain conditions. In one example, the voltage regulator (40) introduces a negative flux current to an electric motor (32) when the motor (32) is operating under conditions corresponding to constant speed movement of an elevator car (22). In one example, the added negative flux current effectively reduces the back-EMF voltage of the motor (32) during the constant velocity portion of an elevator run. A disclosed example includes controlling the added current to maintain control over a motor torque constant, which becomes a function of the added current.

摘要: To alleviate the ear block discomfort of passengers without causing any undue reduction in the operational efficiency of an elevator. A travel distance calculating section 13 calculates a travel distance of a car room 1 based on destination floor information 12a and a car position command signal 3a, and output travel distance information 13a to a speed pattern generating section 14. The speed pattern generating section 14 compares the travel distance with a predetermined distance, generates a speed pattern 14a of a normal operation if the travel distance is short, and generates the speed pattern 14a of a partially low speed operation if the travel distance is long. The predetermined distance indicates a difference in height corresponding to a difference in air pressure that causes the Eustachian tube to open against ear block discomfort by a passenger. A speed control section 24 makes the car room 1 move up and down based on the speed pattern 14a. This allows the car room 1 to move at low speed after the first opening of the Eustachian tube, and therefore an interval in time when the car room 1 moves of a distance of the difference in height causing another ear block discomfort is made long. The ear block discomfort of passengers may thus be alleviated.

摘要: An elevating machine control apparatus controls an inverter (4) to drive an AC motor (5) connected to the inverter (4) with AC power, and energizes a power generation braking resistor (13) to apply a brake during regenerative operation of the AC motor (5). The apparatus prohibits the elevating machine from starting operating and interrupts power supply to the power generation braking resistor (13) if the DC stage voltage of the inverter (4) has a ripple quantity of a set value or more when the elevating machine is being stopped. Alternatively, the apparatus commands the elevating machine to stop operating and interrupts power supply to the power generation braking resistor (13) if the DC stage voltage of the inverter (4) during regenerative operation is a reference value or less when the elevating machine is in operation.
