摘要: An improved device for machining workpieces in a chamber surrounded by a housing. The housing has a hollow space defined by housing walls. A blasting nozzle is positioned in the chamber and is connected by a line to a supply of blasting medium in a container. The chamber is separated by partition walls from the hollow space of the housing. A carrying structure in the hollow space carries the container through a loading opening defined by the housing walls. The loading opening can be closed by a wall. The carrying structure for the blasting medium container is movable between a working position in the housing through the loading opening into a loading position where a filling opening in the medium container is outside the housing.

摘要: The blast machine consists of a self-propelled vehicle including a pair of independently driven magnetic treads capable of adhering to and traversing ferromagnetic vertical surfaces and the underside of ferromagnetic horizontal surfaces. The blast machine includes a blast unit having a pair of blast wheels supported on the magnetic treads for propelling the blast unit over ferromagnetic surfaces The blast unit is mounted so as to be able to pivot about two axes relative to the treads so that the treads can follow and traverse curved surfaces without changing the orientation of the blast unit. The treads can also flex allowing them to traverse surfaces having varying contours. Moreover, the angle of the blast unit relative to the surface to be cleaned can be adjusted to ensure the proper orientation for blast cleaning The blast unit includes a unique mechanism for retrieving spent abrasive and debris from the surface and a separator for separating the reusable abrasive from the debris when the unit is oriented either vertically or upside down.

摘要: Described herein is a powder blasting apparatus for abrasion treatments, which is capable of treating a number of works concurrently and progressively with blasts of a high pressure gas and fine powder mixture in an efficient manner to shorten the so-called tact time.The powder blasting apparatus is provided with a plural number of work tables 21 to 23 arrayed at uniform intervals in the longitudinal direction of the apparatus for reciprocating movements between first and second stop positions. Blast nozzles 38 to 40 are located between the first and second stop positions of the respective work tables to blast a mixture of high pressure compressed air and fine powder against a work on each one of the work tables simultaneously for an etching, boring or piercing treatment. Work transfer heads 48 and 49 are located in a position corresponding to the second stop position of a first one of two adjacently located work tables or the first stop position of the other or second work table to pick up a work on the first work table at the second stop position and place the work on the second work table at the first stop position, thereby successively transferring the work to a forwardly located work table while subjecting same progressively to abrasion treatments by the respective blast nozzles.

摘要: An apparatus for cleaning a surface comprises a truck with a hydraulic system and a trailer with a blast assembly, dust collector and electric power generator. The apparatus is configurable into an operating mode and a transport mode. In the operating mode, the apparatus is driven by means of the hydraulic system, the blast assembly is lowered to the surface by a hydraulic cylinder and the blast assembly extends beyond the width of the trailer to clean a wide area. Abrasive material is propelled against the surface by a plurality of motor-driven centrifugal blast wheels and is returned for reuse by a return auger and an elevator. Air flow created by the dust collector facilitates return of spent abrasive material for reuse. In another preferred embodiment, a recapture assembly is attached to the blast assembly to capture abrasive material escaping between the blast assembly and the surface to be cleaned. In the transport mode, the apparatus is driven by the truck without use of the hydraulic system, the elevator is pivoted to an inclined position, and the blast assembly is both retracted toward the trailer and rotated to be entirely beneath the trailer.

摘要: This relates to a cleaning machine which employs blast wheels to throw abrasive particles against a workpiece to be cleaned. The cleaning machine is of a simple construction and employs two wire mesh belts through which abrasive particles may freely pass. A first of these belts extends longitudinally through the machine and serves to support workpieces or articles to be cleaned. The workpieces are cleaned by blasts of abrasive particles from opposite sides of the belt and from above and below the belt. This first belt may be considered extending longitudinally of the cleaning machine. The abrasive particles fall into a bottom collection trough and are removed by an abrasive particle collection system which includes a second wire mesh belt through which abrasive particles can freely flow into the collection trough. The second belt is also vertically disposed, but extends transversely of the first belt. The second belt carries a series of buckets for removing collected materials including abrasive particles from the collection trough and dumping the materials onto an upper run of the second belt through which the collected materials freely flow into collection bins. The collected material flows in a curtain from each of the bins through which an air blast passes to remove foreign material from the abrasive particles, after which the abrasive particles fall into respective supply hoppers for the blast wheels.

摘要: Spent surface finishing compound is filtered and cooled or heated for reuse in a machine finishing process. The spent finishing compound is filtered through a pleated polyester or polypropylene wound filter cartridge to remove particles of a predetermined size ranging from about 0.5 to 100 microns. The surface finishing compound circulates through an in-line, constant flow intercooler having a chamber for receiving and maintaining the finishing compound in a spiral circulation. The surface finishing compound circulates about cooling tubes positioned within the chamber. Heat is exchanged between the circulating water within the cooling tubes and the surface finishing compound.

The second exhaust may include a tapered exhaust guide pipe surrounding the first exhaust guide pipe or a plurality of exhaust guide pipes disposed circumferentially uniformly around the first exhaust guide pipe.
