摘要: A method for handling malfunctioning vehicles on a rail system constituting part of a storage and retrieval system includes storing a plurality of stacks of storage containers and a control system. The storage and retrieval system includes a plurality of remotely operated vehicles configured to move laterally on the rail system. The method includes wirelessly monitoring and controlling, via the control system, movements of the plurality of vehicles. The method includes forming the control system by wireless data communication including: registering an anomaly in an operational condition of a vehicle on the rail system; registering the vehicle with the anomalous operational condition as a malfunctioning vehicle; bringing the malfunctioning vehicle to a halt; registering a halt position of the malfunctioning vehicle relative to the rail system; setting up a two-dimensional shutdown zone within the rail system into which the malfunctioning vehicle is halted; and updating movement pattern of the plurality of remotely operated vehicles outside the two-dimensional shutdown zone such that entrance into the two-dimensional shutdown zone is avoided.

摘要: A fork assembly can include multiple forks configured to surround a load. Multiple attachments can be made on the forks to couple to straps for support a load. The fork assembly can further include multiple fork extensions having end attachments to couple to straps for pulling on the load. In some embodiments, the fork attachment assembly for a forklift or a forklift vehicle can include roller legs coupled at far ends of the fork beams or the fork extensions. The fork assembly can include a clamping device coupled at a far end of the fork beam or the fork extension.

A light-beam that projects a luminous mark onto the load to be handled informs the driver of the relative position of the forks with respect to the load to be handled. The light-beam is activated and adjusted depending on the different steps of handling and inclination of the forks, which, for their part, are identified solely on the basis of the measurement of the acceleration acting on the forks. The device, which is installed quickly and protected effectively against collisions, has a high degree of operational autonomy. It improves working conditions and reduces product losses.

A method is also provided for cleaning or drying both the interior and exterior surfaces simultaneously of an insulated boom section of the boom of a bucket truck. The boom of a bucket truck is further provided in another aspect that includes at least one insulated boom section, a source of high volume and pressure, dry air, one or more interior air diffusers and one or more exterior air diffusers. A pre-heating air heater may be removably mounted into the boom.
