摘要： A device for the precise replacement of liquids before, during, or after operation of a mechanism such as, for example, an automobile motor or automatic transmission, includes a housing and a piston or diaphragm for separation of the housing into inlet and exit portions. A plurality of bags can be employed in the housing for inlet and exit portions and as a diaphragm. Pressure from the volume of liquid in a closed vessel that is to be replaced is used to measure the amount of liquid replacing the liquid that is in the closed vessel. The device can be employed during normal operation of the mechanism, and a method for the precise replacement of liquids employs the device during normal operation of the mechanism.

摘要： An automatic hand held transmission fluid changer includes a compact housing internally plumbed with a pair of open ended drain and supply tubes for connection at respective first ends with a pair of hoses connected at their respective opposite ends to remote waste and unused fluid tanks. The respective tubes include second ends for connection with a second pair of hoses leading to respective upstream and downstream transmission components for, respectively, withdrawing used fluid from and introducing unused fluid to a transmission. A demand pump is connected in fluid circuit with the supply hose to flow unused fluid from the unused fluid tank to the supply tube. A controller is provided and acts to receive an electric signal proportional to the rate of fluid flow from a flow meter in the drain tube and to manipulate a control valve in the supply tube such that an automatic balancing of flow rates is achieved.

The used filter and the used fluid are to be obtained and to be disposed in a container after the new fluid has been removed from the container. The apparatus comprises a container having a hollow body for containing said fluids, and a pair of apertures for pouring fluids into and from the container. The container containing a new or unspent fluid is transported from an origin or source to a destination. The new fluid is poured from the container and into an engine. The used fluid from the engine is disposed into the container, along with any associated filters from the engine, and the container containing the used filter totally immersed in the used fluid is transported to the origin or source.

摘要： A system for providing total fluid exchange for an automatic transmission which interconnects with the transmission's opened cooling circuit to deliver new, fresh fluid to the transmission while simultaneously extracting the spent, used fluid. The system provides a means of quick and random interconnection to an opened cooling circuit and means of identifying and aligning direction of flow in such cooling circuit. The system can accurately calibrate and regulate the rate that fresh fluid will flow into the transmission to be the same as that at which the used fluid is extracted, both of which are regulated to flow at the same rate that fluid normally circulates at in the cooling circuit when it is closed under similar operating conditions. Quick coupling devices are used for ease and speed of interconnection of the system into operative position, for quick removal of the system and for reconnection of the opened cooling circuit for ease of repeat, periodic servicing by the system as a regular maintenance procedure.

摘要： A first pump can withdraw waste fluid from an oil pan reservoir and optionally, can be used to introduce flushing fluid through the oil filter and internal oil lubrication distribution passage system, to recirculate the flushing fluid within the internal oil lubrication distribution passage system, to withdraw the waste flushing fluid from the oil pan reservoir for disposal and storage in an external storage receptacle. An air purge connection is provided for evacuating fluid retained within the oil filter element and any fluid remaining in the internal oil lubrication distribution passage system into the oil pan reservoir prior to withdrawal of the fluid by the first pump. A second pump is provided for supplying fresh motor oil from an external storage receptacle through the oil filter directly to the oil filter inlet and onto the main gallery of the internal oil lubrication distribution passage system. A special internal engine connector is provided in the engine at a point upstream of the oil filter. This provides a central, easily accessible location within the engine compartment for connection to the oil changing apparatus. A drain plug adapter is connectible to the oil pan reservoir to provide connection to the first pump. Methods for removing waste or spent fluid and introducing fresh fluid through the oil filter element and internal oil lubrication distribution passage system, and for introducing, recirculating and removing flushing fluid from the internal oil lubrication distribution passage system are also disclosed.
