The apparatus is a drop-in bore gauge with a handle, a flange and at least one elongated fin for insertion into the bore of the female castings. Once inserted, dimensions can be determined by placement of the gauge at a reference point and observing the location of an elongated fin measuring edge relative to the bore.

摘要： The present invention relates to a surgical tool for use in knee arthroplasty. The tool is designed to assist a surgeon to implant a knee prosthesis which will be stable when the knee is in flexion and in extension. The tool comprises a parallel pair of paddle flanges adapted for insertion into the flexion or extension gap located between resected surfaces of a proximal tibia and a corresponding distal femur. The paddle flanges are incrementally movable relative to each other to define a range of gaps extending between a minimum gap and a maximum gap between exterior surfaces thereof. The incremental movement is provided by a racked member on which one of the paddle flanges is mounted, the racked member being movable by hand operable means connected thereto and which racked member engages with a pawl to prevent movement thereof in a gap-decreasing direction when the tool is in use.

摘要： The device, shown associated with a bore measuring machine, comprises two elements in engagement in the form of a bolt (20) and a nut (21) of reversible relative axial rotation and displacement. The bolt (20) is a threaded cylindrical sleeve mounted coaxial to the measurement rod (4) of the machine and with free rotation between two stops (9, 23) thereof, and the nut (21) is formed by an inner thread on the cylindrical body (1) of the machine. The force of friction developed by the relative bolt-nut rotation is adapted to yield to at least the pressure of the return spring (7) of the measurement rod and to constitute a brake for modulating the speed of the displacements in both directions of the measurement rod (4) in the body of the machine.
