摘要: An ATR scanner and method for calibrating the same are disclosed. The scanner includes an ATR objective having a reflecting face and an optical port adapted to receive a first light beam, and to focus the first light beam to a point, at a location on the reflecting face such that the first light beam is reflected by the reflecting face and no portion of the first light beam strikes the reflecting face at an angle greater than the critical angle. A detector measures an intensity of light reflected from the reflecting face. A controller controls the location of the focal point and determines an intensity of light that was incident on the reflecting face as a function of the position on the reflecting face and an intensity of light that was reflected from the reflecting face as a function of position on the reflecting face.

摘要: In a communications network, it is necessary for client software applications to monitor detail records constructed from messages transmitted in a signalling network (100) associated with the communications network. Prior techniques for delivery of the detail records to the client software applications included separate generation of the detail records for each client software application resulting in duplication of effort in the collection and dissemination of the detail records as well as the prolific number of detail record generation tasks required. The present invention overcomes these disadvantages by having a single generator (200, 410) of detail records per site in the signalling network (100), the delivery of the detail records to the client software applications (400, 402, 710, 712, 718) involving a point-to-multipoint communication.

摘要: A flow cell, for detecting a fluidic sample separated by a sample separation apparatus, includes a cuvette, a flow channel formed at least partially in the cuvette and configured to enable a flow of the separated fluidic sample through the flow channel, an electromagnetic radiation inlet at which an excitation electromagnetic radiation beam is couplable into the cuvette, and an electromagnetic radiation outlet at which an emission electromagnetic radiation beam, generated by an interaction between the excitation electromagnetic radiation beam and the separated fluidic sample, is couplable out of the cuvette. A geometry of the cuvette is configured so that at least one point at the excitation backside surface of the cuvette is outside of a direct field of view of the electromagnetic radiation outlet.

摘要: A polychromator system comprising: an optical element defining an aperture; a collimation mirror for receiving light via the aperture and reflecting substantially collimated light; at least a first dispersive optical component and a second dispersive optical component, each configured to disperse the substantially collimated light received from the collimation mirror by different amounts for different wavelengths and to provide cross-dispersed light having different wavelengths of light spaced along a first and second axis; and a focus mirror positioned to focus the cross-dispersed light onto a 2-D array detector to provide a plurality of aperture images of the aperture at a respective plurality of regions of the detector, each of the plurality of aperture images associated with a respective wavelength of the cross-dispersed light. Either one or both of the collimation mirror and the focus mirror is a freeform mirror having a reflective surface configured to mitigate effects of optical aberrations of the polychromator system over a plurality of the wavelengths of the cross-dispersed light along the first axis and the second axis and thereby optimise the resolution of the plurality of aperture images associated with the plurality of the wavelengths along the first axis and the second axis.

摘要: In some examples, a multi-device removal and installation tool may include a device removal tool including a first side having a first receiver with a first dimension that removably receives a first device, and a second side having a second receiver with a second dimension that removably receives a second device. The first dimension may be different from the second dimension. A torque limit tool may apply, in a first rotation direction of the torque limit tool and the device removal tool, a tightening torque to the first device. Further, the torque limit tool may apply, in a second rotation direction of the torque limit tool and the device removal tool, a loosening torque to the first device. The second rotation direction may be generally opposite to the first rotation direction.

摘要: A high-voltage (HV) power supply outputs an output voltage based on a control signal produced by a dual analog/digital feedback loop. The control signal is determined at least in part by an error amplifier that receives a measurement signal, proportionally attenuated from the output voltage, and a digital-to-analog converter (DAC) output signal. An analog-to-digital converter (ADC) also receives the measurement signal and transmits it in digitized form to a digital processor. The digital processor calculates a digital DAC data signal based on the measurement signal, and on a digital set-point input signal corresponding to a set-point voltage value of the output voltage desired to be outputted from the high-voltage source. A DAC receives the DAC data signal and converts it to the DAC output signal transmitted to the error amplifier.
