摘要： A flame retarding and smoke suppressing additive powder that can be mixed with resins includes a carbonific material, a heat activated blowing agent, a heat activated halogen material, a phosphate material, and an inorganic material. The additive powder, when added to a curable or hardenable resin, forms a mixture where the additive powder is about 20-30%, by weight, of the mixture. The resin can be styrenic, olefinic, acrylic, cellulosic, polyester, or polyamide such as are commonly used in the manufacture of fiberglass reinforced structures and moldable plastics.

摘要： An energy management system for limiting continuously instantaneous permissible power level of a plurality of controllable loads including a transducer device for generating an output signal when the measured instantaneous power level exceeds a pre-set instantaneous permissible power level. A programmable matrix device is provided to select a plurality of controllable loads and periods of time in a day for which each of the selected loads are connected to a power source. The selected controllable loads are disconnected from the power source in response to the output signal in a predetermined order. The order in which the selected loads are to be disconnected is sequentially switched over a certain time interval.

摘要： A ground fault and fire detector system for an A.C. electrical power distribution apparatus including a multi-pole circuit interrupter to disconnect a poly-phase electrical power supply from a load. A single-pole circuit device is operatively connected to the circuit interrupter for controlling its operation. 摘要： This invention relates generally to fabrics, films, sheets and other supporting media that contain and transport fire retarding materials. These transport media deliver fire retarding and smoke suppressing constituents to the surface of fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composite substrates during a manufacturing process. Upon exposure to open flame or radiant heat, the resultant manufactured product has much lower surface flammability and smoke development characteristics than would otherwise be achieved by the substrate material alone. By economizing the fire retardant constituents at the surface only, cost is reduced while also avoiding deleterious adulteration of the substrate material. When fire is prevented from penetrating the surface, combustion of the entire part is delayed or prevented. By embedding fire retardant within the surface using the native resin, no peeling or chipping occurs (as with paint), and the finish will be essentially as hard and durable as an untreated part.
