摘要: The invention relates to the field of viral diagnosis. In particular, it is directed to a method for diagnosing a viral infection or a disease associated therewith in a subject comprising the steps of: (a) determining in a sample of said subject the amount of at least one biomarker selected from the group of 3′(,5′-di)deoxy-3′,4′-didehydro furanose derivatives of formula (I) with the exception of 3′-deoxy-3′,4′-didehydro-cytidine (ddhC); and (b) comparing the amount(s) of the at least one biomarkers determined in (a) with a reference, thereby diagnosing a viral infection.
Further, the invention is directed to a method for diagnosing a viral infection or a disease associated therewith in a subject comprising the steps of: (A) determining in a sample of said subject the amount of 3′-deoxy-3′,4′-didehydro-cytidine (ddhC); and (B) comparing the amount of the ddhC determined in (A) with a reference, thereby diagnosing a viral infection; wherein the determination in (a) is done by NMR spectroscopy and the sample of the subject is a urine sample of said subject.
The invention is also related to a diagnostic means for use in diagnosing a viral infection or a disease associated therewith, said diagnostic means comprising at least one biomarker selected from the group of 3′(,5′-di)deoxy-3′,4′-didehydro furanose derivatives of formula (I) with the exception of 3′-deoxy-3′,4′-didehydro-cytidine (ddhC), but also to a diagnostic means comprising 3′-deoxy-3′,4′-didehydro-cytidine (ddhC) for use in diagnosing a viral infection or a disease associated therewith, wherein the amount of the biomarker is determined done by NMR spectroscopy in a urine sample of a subject.
Furthermore, the invention is directed to a device for diagnosing a viral infection or a disease associated therewith in a sample of a subject and to a kit for identifying a subject suffering from a viral infection or a disease associated therewith.-

摘要: A microwave bridge circuit routes a transmission signal from a transmitter to a resonator and forwards the reception signal generated in the resonator to a receiver. It includes two electrical lines connected in parallel at a first circuit point TX, where the transmission signal is divided. The first electrical line has an attenuator for attenuating a first transmission signal portion. The second electrical line carries a second transmission signal portion and connects to the resonator at a second circuit point R, which divides it between section L1, which runs from TX to R, and section L2, which runs from R to a third circuit point RX. The length of the sections L1 and L2 corresponds to an odd integer multiple of one quarter of the wavelength of the transmission signal, and the divided transmission signal portions are combined at RX, where the reception signal is forwarded to the receiver.

The system receives NMR signal data produced by a sample over time in response to an excitation pulse and selects a predefined system function for application to the NMR signal data for systematic variation of signal properties The system function has a different influence on NMR signal components than on noise components of the sampled signal and has a variation parameter to control the systematic variation. A plurality of variation parameter values is provided with differing values to influence broad NMR signals as well as weak NMR signals. The system generates for each variation parameter value a corresponding intermediate data set by applying the system function with the respective variation parameter value to the NMR signal data. Further, from each intermediate data set, a respective base value centered spectrum is generated in the frequency-domain.

摘要: A cryostat has a cooling arm with a first thermal contact surface which can be brought into thermal contact with a second thermal contact surface on an object to be cooled. A hollow volume (2) between the inner side of the neck tube, the cooling arm, and the object is filled with gas and the cooling arm is pressurized by the inner pressure of the gas and also by atmospheric pressure. A contact device brings the first and the second contact surfaces into thermal contact below a threshold gas pressure and moves them away from each other when the threshold pressure has been exceeded such that a gap (13) filled with gas thermally separates the first and second contact surfaces. Operationally safe and fully automatic reduction of the thermal load acting on the object to be cooled is thereby obtained in case the cooling machine fails.

It is thus possible, in a surprisingly simple manner and by means of readily available technical means, to irradiate a considerably higher microwave energy in the HE 11 mode into the NMR measuring sample than by means of the known arrangements.
