摘要: The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device, by which it is possible to improve color reproducibility and contrast by adequately setting a value of Δn·d of each color without changing thickness of liquid crystal layer. A partition wall PT made of resin is prepared between pixels, which comprises color filter columns of CF-R, CF-G and CF-B. Within each of the pixels partitioned by the partition wall, liquid crystals LC(R), LC(G), and LC(B) having different values of Δn are filled In the pixels partitioned by the partition wall. The partition wall PT also fulfills the function as a spacer to maintain cell gap at a predetermined value.

摘要: The purpose of the present invention is to provide homogeneous plasma in longitudinal direction of a plasma processing apparatus applicable to multiple processes. A microwave waveguide 10 with a plurality of variable couplers 12 is placed in a vacuum chamber 21. The microwave generated in a microwave generator 23 is introduced into the microwave waveguide 10 via a waveguide 24. And a plasma 22 in the chamber 21 is generated by the microwave 25. Intensity distribution of the microwave 25 in the microwave waveguide 10 can be varied by moving a plurality of variable couplers 12 individually upward or downward as shown by two-way arrow.

摘要: A reflecting plate in form of dual half-ellipses comprises a first ellipse having a first focal point and a second focal point, and a second ellipse having a first focal point and a second focal point. The first ellipse and the second ellipse commonly share the first focal point. A cross-section of the reflecting plate is designed in such a form that the dual half-ellipses are aligned with each other, and that contours of the first ellipse and the second ellipse are divided by a straight line, which includes the commonly shared first focal point and the other focal points. The reflecting plate encloses the line light source by the dual half-ellipses and reflects a light from the line light source toward the diffusion plate arranged above by specular reflection and by diffused reflection. As a result, uneven brightness is eliminated at the boundary of the reflecting plate designed in form of dual half-ellipses.

摘要: The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device using a thin-film transistor, and the invention also provides a method for manufacturing the liquid crystal display device. In openings of a first light transmission type photosensitive resin formed on an insulating substrate, a gate electrode, a source line, and a pixel contact layer are prepared. On these components, a gate insulator, a semiconductor layer, an ohmic contact layer (n+ semiconductor layer) and a protective film are prepared. Further, in openings of a second light transmission type photosensitive resin, a source electrode, a drain electrode, and a pixel electrode are prepared. Also, the crossing portion connecting line formed at the opening of the second light transmission type photosensitive resin is, similarly to the source line or the gate line, made of baked silver produced by baking an ink containing silver fine particles plotted by ink jet process.

摘要: Chromaticity difference is decreased, which is caused by the difference of transmissivity when a light passes through a transparent conductive film to constitute pixels. Optical film thickness of each of transparent conductive films PXR, PXG, and PXB to constitute pixels (a product “nd” of refractive index “n” and film thickness “d”) is varied for each of color filters RF, GF, and BF for each pixel. The transparent conductive film is prepared by coating an ink (produced by dispersing fine particles of a transparent conductive film material such as ITO in a binder) via nozzle of an ink jet device, and then, by baking. Film thickness is controlled by the coating amount of the ink, and refractive index is controlled by volume ratio of the fine particles of conductive material to the binder contained in the transparent conductive film in consideration of those refractive indices.
