摘要: A downhole tool for sand fall-back prevention can include a sand bridge inducer configured to be mounted in a flow path through a housing in a downhole tool. The sand bridge inducer can define a longitudinal axis and having a main opening therethrough, wherein the sand bridge inducer includes one or more angled passageways defined through a wall of the sand bridge inducer that are oblique relative to the longitudinal axis. The sand bridge inducer can be segmented with a respective upper segment and lower segment at each respective one of the one or more angled passageways, wherein the respective upper and lower segments are connected to one another across the respective angled passageway for movement along the longitudinal axis relative to one another to enlarge the respective angled passageway for accommodating passage of larger particles and/or relieving pressure differentials caused by high flow rates and/or solids restricting flow.

摘要: A system for processing DAS VSP surveys in real-time is provided. The system includes a DAS data collection system coupled to at least one optical fiber at least partially positioned within a wellbore and configured to repeatedly activate a seismic source of energy. The system further includes an information processing system connected to the DAS data collection system. A seismic dataset is received from the DAS data collection system. The seismic dataset includes a plurality of seismic data records. Two or more of the plurality of seismic data records are combined into a stack. A quality metric indicative of a desired signal-to-noise ratio or incoherence of the stack is determined for each processed seismic dataset collected from a repeated source. Instructions are sent to the DAS data collection system to stop activating the seismic source, in response to determining that the quality metric has reached a predefined threshold.

摘要: A method for processing distributed acoustic sensing (DAS) vertical seismic profiling (VSP) data is provided. The method includes operations to receive DAS data associated with an optical fiber's response to seismic energy applied by three seismic energy sources. The three seismic energy sources each configured to apply seismic energy to the optical fiber in a direction that is orthogonal to a direction of seismic energy applied by the other two seismic energy sources, the optical fiber is at least partially positioned within a wellbore, and the DAS data includes three components directed in an axial direction of the wellbore associated with energy application by the respective three seismic energy sources. The method further includes operations to apply reciprocity to the three components to model an equivalent vertical point force source in the wellbore with receivers configured to receive the three components at a location of the respective three seismic energy sources.

摘要: Described herein are systems and techniques for predicting sample characteristics in a wellbore. An example method can include determining a set of values of estimated characteristics of a sample in a wellbore; determining, via a proxy model, a predicted ultrasonic wave response corresponding to the set of values of the estimated characteristics of the sample; based on a comparison of the predicted ultrasonic wave response with a measured ultrasonic wave response associated with the sample, determining an error associated with the predicted ultrasonic wave response; determining whether the error associated with the predicted ultrasonic wave response is below a threshold; and determining whether to update the set of values of the estimated characteristics of the sample based on determining whether the error is below the threshold.

摘要: A system can calibrate inconsistencies in a wellbore tool. The system can receive a first set of measurements and a second set of measurements with respect to different electromagnetic antennas. The system can decouple a first multi-components tensor corresponding to the first set of measurements and a second multi-components tensor corresponding to the second set of measurements. The system can determine, using the decoupled first and second multi-components tensors, a scaling factor. The system can apply the scaling factor to a raw measurement received with respect to an electromagnetic antenna of the wellbore tool positioned in a wellbore to decouple a third multi-components tensor or to decoupled components of a fourth multi-components tensor for controlling a wellbore operation.

摘要: Methods and systems for managing dielectric properties of a pulsed power drilling fluid are provided. In one embodiment, the methods include introducing a drilling fluid into a drilling pipe that extends into a portion of a wellbore; separating the drilling fluid into a solids rich portion and a solids lean portion in the drilling pipe at a location proximate to a pulsed power drill bit; allowing the solids lean portion of the drilling fluid to flow through the pulsed power drill bit; and drilling at least a portion of a wellbore. In some embodiments, the methods and systems include passing the drilling fluid through one or more hydrocyclones. In some embodiments, the methods and systems include passing the drilling fluid through one or more centrifuges.
