摘要： A roll whose bend can be controlled has support elements which are designed as ring elements with an annular pocket and an annular pressure surface. The interior space enclosed by the ring element is connected to an outlet line having an adjustable throttle element. By appropriately adjusting the throttle element, any arbitrary intermediate pressure can be maintained in the interior space. Therefore, a wide adjustment rage for the support force is possible, and needs only a feed line for the pressure medium and an outlet line. In this way, relatively large and relatively small path loads can be processed in the roll gap without a major structural change.

摘要： A roll arrangement that includes a roll with a hollow space arrangement and a heating device that acts on the exterior of the roll. A vaporizable fluid and a heat exchanger are positioned in the hollow space arrangement of the roll to cool the roll more rapidly after the heating device has been shut down and, thus, facilitate handling the roll. A method for cooling a roll for use in a machine for producing a fibrous material web. The roll has been heated on an exterior by an exterior heat source by and includes a hollow space that is at least partially filled with a vaporizable fluid. The roll is, moreover, coupled with a heat exchanger. The method includes vaporizing the vaporizable fluid in the hollow space, condensing the vapor on the heat exchanger by a coolant flow through the heat exchanger, and rotating the heat exchanger within the hollow space to fling the condensed liquid within the hollow space.

摘要： An adjustable deflection roll including a roll sleeve or jacket supported by a plurality of support devices positioned partially within a support beam. Pressure chambers may be located between the support devices and the support beam and each pressure chamber may be coupled to a supply line. As the length of the roll increases, and as the need for increasingly more precise pressure distributions also increases, more support devices may be utilized. The adjustable deflection roll may also include a drain channel to facilitate quick relief of the pressure chambers when necessary. To accomplish this, each pressure chamber may be coupled to the drain channel furnished with the supply line such that the drain channel may be closed with a drain valve.
