    摘要: A method of optimizing delivery of a particle beam at a target is disclosed. The particle beam is delivered from an output device at a plurality of control points. In implementations, the method comprises delivering a substantially continuous particle beam about the plurality of control points, iteratively adjusting a delivery time of the substantially continuous particle beam about the plurality of control points, and processing to undertake at least one of (i) pre-defining energy layers based on one or both of the control points and a control point sampling frequency, or (ii) sorting the energy layers.

    摘要: A pressure system and method for managing post-operative swelling. The pressure system has a balloon with a quadrilateral basal skirt that surrounds a surgical site on a patient. A plurality of strap-receiving slots is located in the skirt. Adhesive pads are affixed to the patient outside the skirt. One or more tensioning straps are deployed between the strap-receiving slots and the adhesive pads so that tension can be applied to the straps and to the skirt in order to press the balloon upon the surgical site. Optionally, means for generating visual feedback cues are provided to enable the operator to determine appropriate compression and assess skin recoil feedback. Such means may signify swelling reduction and skin turgor.

    摘要: A radiation treatment and imaging system for emitting a radiation treatment beam and X-ray imaging beams towards an object. The system includes an x-ray source and a collimator, first and second detectors, and a linear accelerator that delivers radiation beams to an object. The linear accelerator includes a radiation source positioned between the first and second detectors and emitting a therapy radiation beam in-line with the x-ray beams received by the first and second detectors. The system also includes a data processing device in communication with the first and second detectors. The data processing device receives imaging signals from the first and second detectors and reconstructs a three-dimensional tetrahedron beam computed tomography (TBCT) image from the received imaging signals. The system also includes a display in communication with the data processing device and for displaying the TBCT image.

The source includes a photon source, and a scatter detector arranged between the object and the photon source. The photon source emits photons towards the scatter detector. The scatter detector scatters at least some of the photons and detects the scattered photons. The object scatters at least some of the photons that were first scattered by the scatter detector. The absorbing detector is arranged to detect scattered photons from the object. The image constructor constructs the three dimensional image based on the scattered photons.
