摘要: Systems and methods for decoding multiple indicia are provided. An example includes an indicia reading device comprising an imaging assembly configured to capture 2D image data of an environment appearing in a first FOV, the first FOV directed at a product scanning region; a depth sensor assembly including at least one depth sensor, wherein the at least one depth senor is configured to capture 3D image data of an environment appearing in a second FOV, the second FOV at least partially overlapping the first FOV; a controller, having at least a processor and a memory, communicably coupled to the imaging assembly and depth sensor assembly. The memory stores computer-readable instructions which when executed by the processor causes the controller to take the following actions: analyze the 2D image data to identify a quantity of indicia present in the 2D image data; analyze the 3D image data to identify a quantity of items present in the 3D image data; and, responsive to the quantity of the indicia present in the 2D image data being equal to or greater than the quantity of items present in the 3D image data, transmit payload data of at least some of the indicia present in the 2D image data to a host.

摘要: The present disclosure provides new and innovative devices, methods, and apparatuses for discerning the presence and characteristics of objects that are passing in front of an indicia decoding device. In an example, a device comprises a 2D imaging assembly, a depth imaging assembly, and a processing device configured to analyze data from the depth imaging assembly to determine a number of items that are in a field of view of the depth imaging assembly during a period of time, analyze data from the 2D imaging assembly to determine a number of indicia that are present in a field of view of the 2D imaging assembly during at least a portion of the period of time, compare the number of indicia with the number of items, output a determination as to whether the number of indicia matches the number of items, and responsive to determining that the number of indicia does not match the number of items, transmit a message to an alert module.

摘要: The present disclosure provides new and innovative systems, methods, and apparatuses for detecting non-decode events in indicia scanning settings. In an example, a system comprises a depth imaging assembly, a 2D imaging assembly, and a processing device, wherein the processing device is configured to attempt to decode an indicium affixed to a first item that is passing through at least one of a field of view of the 2D imaging assembly or a field of view of the depth imaging assembly, determine a first characteristic associated with the first item based on depth data from the depth imaging array, and responsive to a failed attempt to decode the indicium, detect a second item that is passing through the field of view of the 2D imaging assembly and the field of view of the depth imaging assembly, determine a second characteristic associated with the second item based on depth data from the depth imaging assembly, determine if the first item is a same item as the second item based on comparing the first characteristic and the second characteristic, and responsive to determining that the first item and the second item are not the same item, transmit a message to an alert module that is indicative of a non-decode event.

摘要: An example bioptic barcode reader includes a housing having a lower housing portion with an upper surface facing a product scanning region, an upper housing portion extending above the lower housing portion, a generally horizontal window positioned at the upper surface, a generally upright window positioned in the upper housing portion, an imaging assembly with a primary field-of-view (FOV), and a first mirror configured to redirect a first portion of the primary FOV towards the upper housing portion. An optical element arrangement is configured to rotate a second portion of the primary FOV by 90 degrees about a central axis of the second portion of the primary FOV.

摘要: Imaging devices, systems, and methods for capturing and processing images for vision applications in a non-fixed environment are described herein. An example system includes: an imaging assembly, an aiming assembly, and one or more imaging processors configured to: (a) receive a first image; (b) analyze at least a portion of the first image to determine a first focus value; (c) configure a focus parameter of the imaging assembly based on the first focus value; (d) receive a subsequent image; (e) determine a blurriness value for at least a portion of the subsequent image; (f) responsive to the blurriness value being less than a predetermined threshold value, transmit the subsequent image to a decode module; and (g) responsive to the blurriness value exceeding the predetermined threshold value: determine a subsequent focus value; (ii) configure the focus parameter based on the subsequent focus value; and (iii) repeat (d) through (g).

摘要: Methods for assessing container utilization are disclosed herein. An example method includes capturing an image featuring a container, and segmenting the image into a plurality of regions. For each region the example method may include cropping the image to exclude data that exceeds a respective forward distance threshold, and iterating over each data point to determine whether a matching point is included. Responsive to whether a matching point included for a respective data point, the method may include adding the respective data point or the matching point to a respective region based on a position of the respective data point. Further, the method may include calculating a normalized height of the respective region based on whether or not a gap is present in the respective region; and creating a 3D model visualization of the container that depicts container utilization.
